SOMA - DUNBAT

The Deepsea UNderwater BAThyscaphe, or DUNBAT, is a medium-sized submersible made to endure the overwhelming pressure of the abyss. This one's not a mockingbird. We swear.

For all you SOMA fans out there, here is my best recreation of the DUNBAT you 'acquire' in Theta. Ever wanted to drive it? I sure did. Now you can.

This version can't, of course, go down to the bottom of the abyss, but it CAN carry an Ark in the built in Ark compartment bay, located on the underside of the ship. Next update it will come with an Ark. This one just taunts you.

I wouldn't recommend this as a shuttle. It fits one whole person, two if you cram like sardines, and has no supplies on-board, because you someone forgot to stock it after cleaning out all the goop.

'Property of PATHOS-II' is written on the underside of the DUNBAT. I'm sure no-one will mind if you borrow it.


Stay tuned. I might work on making the Theta complex (and possibly others) but I have a lot of projects happening right now. I made this as a quick and dirty fun little project but I think it would be dope to have the rest of SOMA as a map (at least up to Omicron (more spoiler ahead)Making the climber and elevator would be a challenge enough on its own, without an official world map creation tool it will be nigh impossible to make to scale, something I think would be awesome. If a world creation tool comes along, I will make the entirety of the PATHOS-II complex, as well as the space gun (probably not functional), in its functional state, because I think that would be dope.)
