Crisis Manager - Mid-Game Edition [Unofficial] - LEGACY[2.8]

In 1 collection by TehFishey
[2.7.*] Crisis Managers (Unofficial Update)
7 items
Description
This is an unofficial legacy version for 2.7.*-2.8.* of the outstanding Crisis Manager - Mid-Game Edition by NaK1119. For the 3.0.* version Click Here!

The Unofficial Crisis Managers are an ongoing, open-source project[github.com]. There's a lot of work to be done on them, and current events have left me with less time to do it on than I'd like. If you'd like to contribute, or help with bugfixing, code maintenance, or localization/translation, please don't hesitate to PM me or leave a comment!

Given the complexity of this mod, not all of its features have been fully tested in the latest versions of the game. If you come across any bugs, please report them either in the comments below or on GitHub.

Detailed Description
--------------------------------

Summary
This mod provides in-game tools for customizing mid-game crisis events, such as the Rise of the Great Khan and several events related to L-Gates. Among other things, it provides options to make these crises more powerful or weaker, to make them happen sooner or happen later, and to alter the probabilities of random events/outcomes (such as what happens after the L-Cluster is opened or after the Great Khan dies.)

Although this is sub-mod of the End-Game Edition, this mod works as a standalone as well (though the configuration menu might be a little more awkward to use). The menu can be accessed in-game through your choice of !Mod Menu, Dynamic Mod Menu, or the !! 00 Infinite Stellaris Framework (Thanks 小傘INFINI7E!).

This mod comes with a default configuration template; more are available if you're using the End-Game Edition alongside it.

Important Note:
The deadline for setting parameters of L-Gate events comes much sooner than those for the other crises. Specifically, these settings can only be changed until any empire (AI or player) finds a Gateway or L-Gate. It's strongly advised that you set these parameters at the start of the game.

Features
Players can access the following options via an in-game menu:
  • Configurations for the timings, potential triggers, and fleet power for the Great Khan event chain.
  • Settings for changing the number of times the Khan can reincarnate, and enabling reigning of multiple Great Khans.
  • Configurations for what is able to happen after the Great Khan dies.
  • Configurations for the requirements and potential outcomes for opening the L-Gates.
  • Configurations for the fleet power and capabilities of the various entities that may spawn from the L-Gates.
  • Options to manually trigger L-Gate opening and the Great Khan's rise, and to end their related crises.
  • Options for manually adding or removing L-Gates (Warning: this can be UNSABLE.)
  • More things…

Several preset templates for all of the above settings are included with the End-Game Crisis Manager mod. Additionally, user-designed template presets can be built as custom mods/addons; instructions for doing so can be found in the End-Game Crisis Manager's directory.

Installation & Uninstallation
This mod should only be installed for NEW GAMES.
This mod can be uninstalled safely only when all of following conditions are satisfied:
  • Horde Crisis is NOT ongoing.
  • Gray Tempest is NOT ongoing.
  • The Dessanu (an empire that might spawn from the L-Gates) do NOT exist.

Localization & Languages
  • English localization needs some editing/re-writing, but is available (obviously).
  • русские переводы завершены! Спасибо Аргокон Эстейл!
  • 已添加中文翻译。– Lunar Traveller

If you would like to help with editing or UI cleanup, or translate Crisis Manager into your language, please let me know in the comments or a DM!

Compatibility Information
This mod is NOT COMPATIBLE with most mods modifying Horde Crisis and/or L-Gate events.
  • This mod IS COMPATIBLE with A Deadly Tempest, thanks to the hard work of FirePrince!
This mod is PROBABLY NOT compatible with mods modifying marauders before Great Khan reigns.

Please update this to work with the new 3.0 version of Dynamic Mod Manager

I'm not certain if it's a problem with this mod or the mod menu but in 3.0.X there's a problem with either the crisis managers or their dependencies. Once again we're stuck without a crisis manager. Unfortunate.

I will post this across the rest of the unofficial crisis manager mods in hopes of illiciting a response from the creator.

Also if there are two khans at the same time, are they hostile to each other?

Could someone explain the multiple khans and intervals? Can there be two marauder khans at the same time or is it the time between the next marauder group becoming the khan?

I could do this and I've already started halfway, but I need some time... any help is welcome.

Will this be updated to 3.0?

So, slight issue. Provoking the Khan's rise by nuking the habitats with the Great Great Khan setting doesn't cause the Marauders to unify despite all three being present. Not sure why.

If I run this and end game crisis manager/sleepers etc, do I only need to make menu choices at the start of the game and will these choices stay each time I load the savegame? I ask because I started a fresh game, turned off the empty l-gate possibility, and then when the l cluster was opened it was empty even though I forbid that choice. I selected all of my crisis choices when it was 1-1-2200. Is this the right way to do it?

@That One Strange Fellow: Sorry, so your patch needs also updated in the next coming CM update.
