I will be updating both of my mods for 1.1 next weekend (3/21/2020) since I'll have a bit of free time. I should have focused on my own mods, but I was tinkering with some other mods to see about updating them to 1.1 as well (XND Rename Everything, for example, with his permission). Expect an official update to my armor revival series. Until then, a link is below to Mlie's update in my stead.

I updated the Pict Armor from the mod Rimworld: Medieval Edition. Thus far I have only done this armor and I have plans to tweak some of the artwork a bit, but I figured I'd upload in case someone else wanted this armor besides myself as it was initially intended to be for personal use only. If you'd like to see other armor mods from previous builds updated to 1.0, let me know down below and I'll see what I can do about it; however, if each respective mod author returns and asks me to take the mods down then I will do so.

As pointed out by someone, the name it goes by in-game is Leather Breastplate. I forgot to mention that part so that's bad on me.

Layer: Middle
Covers: Torso, Neck, Left Shoulder, Right Shoulder
StatOffsets: Move Speed + 0.05 c/s
Costs: 170 Stuff
Cold Insulation Multiplier: 0
Heat Insulation Multiplier: 1

Credits:
Bonehead14 for creating the Rimworld: Medieval Edition mod.
Chicken Plucker for showing me the ropes on the process. He's an excellent teacher (I'm a rebel, Chicken! You get your props anyway!).

Edit: Changelog - 1/9/2019: Changed tech level of Leather Breastplate to Medieval from Industrial. That one skipped past me and makes the armor not usable if you use mods like Lord of the Rims.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1636020264 - As per request, here's the Norse Hauberk (viking armor)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2022520108 - 1.1 update as per Mlie. Go and thank them as well for having the time to update that I haven't had lately.

Another fact on Scottish history, Gaelic Christianity made its way as far as Northumbria. Some of the Anglo-Saxons were converted by the Gaelic church and I believe this came from Scotland, as an invasion from Dal Riata got utterly crushed by the English pagan Æthelfrith (literally me), during the time the English were starting to convert to Christianity.
More proof the Picts were influenced by the Gaels beforehand, as it was the nearby Gaelic church located in the hebrides that also converted the Picts. There were also 2 other groups that were ingrediants for modern Scottish culture. A Welsh kingdom in the Lowlands (Strathclyde), & the remnants of the English (after Viking invasions on Northumbria) around Edinburgh.

That's a very nice way of saying the Gaels exploited a good situation to conquer the Picts.
The Picts didn't speak Gaelic beforehand, however, they were already influenced by Gaels, likely from trade & a loss of cultural continuity with the rest of Britain.

The actual historical Picts looked quite different to this. Infact they existed before a lot of the weapons added in existed. I still think it looks great for an addition to a medieval modlist.

Picts often wore pants with no shirt, or a tunic with no pants. Idk how you represent that into Rimworld.
Consider adding new tattoo's based off the "Aberlemno 1" Pictish stonework.
Some unusual examples of the earliest cruciform swords can be found in 900-1000AD Scotland (I'm doubting the Viking origins).
Their shields were strange, often being small squareshields, H shields & small roundshields.
Celts were known to spike their hair up with limestone & have big mustaches, which is already in the game.

ps: If you plan to use this armor to make some Pictish warriors, I would recommend using Misc Tattoos mod as well, to get tattoos that look like they could presumably be Pictish warpaint.

@TroopieHarold, sort of! The Picts were people who lived in what is now Scotland. Viking invasions in the 8th century forced the Picts and their neighbors to put aside their historic rivalries and unite into the kingdom of Scotland. Interestingly, we don't actually know what the Picts called themselves or even exactly what language they spoke (probably related to Brittonic), we call them Picts because most of the information we have about their culture is taken from the Romans who called them "Picti", Latin for "painted", referring to the warpaint/facepaint they wore.

@Nomadic just tell me later and ill take this down :)
Legion Mar 15, 2020 @ 8:48am
@Mlie,

I might do that. I know I have some tweaking with the armor stats I have to do. But, I'm pretty surprised a request was made for that mod to be updated. I didn't think a simple medieval armor was popular enough. At any rate for the time being, I still thank you for taking the time to do what I should have done by now.
