Dead Isn't Dead

Description
Removes Permadeath

Dying is now just a minor setback.

Checkpoints are the perk reroll scales,
visually altered to add a golden ankh.
Move near them to set your checkpoint.

They'll work automatically on new games.
On existing saves you'll need to activate
them once to enable them.

Also, Polymorph won't kill you.

Got turned into a large fish (suureväkäs), and an enemy killed me proper despite having this mod. What rotten luck!

yeah that is totally fine i was just asking as id rather not make a seperate mod which is just this but compatible with entangled, however ill probably go with another option

There's zero chance of me putting this mod's files up anywhere else. I'm telling you I'm fine with it being used however you want, if you want. Pretend I put the MIT license boilerplate at the top of the lua files.

This project was quickly hacked together during Noita's early access period and I'm pleased that it still works; though that's mostly on the game's devs for not changing too much.

I haven't touched this game in years (though I do hold it in high regard); I'm not going start in on some collaborative effort (fielding code change suggestions) on something I don't play (or in general, typically).

technically this isn't open source without a license also since while we have the source code we are not properly licensed to be allowed to do anything with it besides run it but semantics
bgkillas Jun 25 @ 10:59am
i mean put it on github or gitlab so i or he can make a pr to update it to support entangled
qm  [author] Jun 25 @ 10:44am
Uhm, this is open source? The primary logic is just a single lua script file, not obfuscated or anything.

If you mean add someone(s) to this mod entry's ownership, not a chance.

Just copy and modify as needed.

@qm elmage78 was talking about noita entangled worlds, however i(a dev of entangled) would rather this be integrated into your mod instead of entangled since i dont think its neccessary, would you mind open sourcing this so i(or he) could support entangled via your mod

reminds me of the progression mod I used to use before dev abandoned it. shame it was one of my favorites anyway are there any mods that will not work with this one?
qm  [author] Jun 21 @ 11:27am
Yes elmage78, permission granted (or whatever). And I appreciate you asking but you didn't have to.

I would prefer it if you left a link here in a comment to whatever mod you're working on so other users might see it and learn of other similar mods to this one.
