Japanese Radio Stations [0.4.1]
Автор: Comrade Mario
A simple mod for adding Japanese radio stations to Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Ideally, it will have at least 50 stations, one per prefecture and 3 special ones.

About this guide
F.A.Q.

1. What is this, exactly?

This is a list of Japanese radio stations that have been adapted to work with Euro Truck Simulator 2. All the radio stations are real, and so, the content they stream may vary on a daily basis (talk shows, news, sports commentary, Japanese music, worldwide music, etc).

2. How do I apply these stations on my game?

You'll have to modify one of your files (but it's okay, the game encourages you to do so!). This is the (usual) route:
C:\User\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\live_streams.sii
Make a back-up of the file in case something goes wrong, and open it with Notepad++. You'll find a list of lines such as
stream_data[***]: "[radio website] | [name] | [genre] | [country] | [bitrate] [active(1)/inactive(0)]
Go to the end of the file and add the stations you've chosen from this guide. It should look like this
stream_data[290]: "http://89.106.110.85:8000/|Vidin|Spoken|BG|128|0" stream_data[291]: "http://musicbird.leanstream.co/JCB090-MP3|Kappa FM 76.5 (Kumamoto)|Various|JP|128|1"}

Important #1: The number after stream_data has to match the sequence of the files. Meaning that, if you have 100 radio stations in the game, you'll have to start from 101 if you want to add some more.
Important #2: Notice there's a } at the end of the last line. This wraps up the whole list, and if it isn't there, the stream won't work.

3. Why is X station in this list, but not Y station?

The choices for this list are highly subjective and, unless there is a huge demand for a specific station, the available options will be left to my own tastes. There are some more mainstream stations, but it won't be a 1:1 equivalence of [Prefecture | Prefecture capital radio]. Sometimes it'll just be smaller, country-side stations, and that is okay too.
    Hokkaidō
Hokkaidō (北海道) is the second largest main island of Japan, and the largest and northernmost prefecture. The Tsugaru Strait separates Hokkaido from Honshu. The two islands are connected by the undersea railway Seikan Tunnel. The largest city on Hokkaido is its capital, Sapporo, which is also its only ordinance-designated city. About 43 kilometres north of Hokkaido lies Sakhalin Island and to the east and northeast are the Kuril Islands.

It is located directly between the Kantō region and the Kansai region and includes the major city of Nagoya as well as Pacific Ocean and Sea of Japan coastlines, extensive mountain resorts, and Mount Fuji. The region is the widest part of Honshū and the central part is characterized by high, rugged mountains. does anyone know if there's an updated version of this somewhere, a lot of the stations don't work now and I've had mixed results with updating them myself
    Drapiezhnik 4 лип. 2022 о 18:31
@DemopanZ, seems that music bird website actually removed all radio streams but "Tokyo FM", so one needs to find new stream URL's for affected stations elsewhere.

Hi there. It's an awesome guide and all, but I have a small problem:
Every radiostation that uses "musicbird.leanstream" URL doesn't seem to work at all.
Other stations such as Shonan Beach FM, ADR, J1 and JPOP work perfectly on my end.
Should I do something about it, so I can have all the other ones working as well?

Minor update with the proper links and fixes. Thank you @Natsu @NuclearWinter! :KneelingBow:

@HHYStar Might plan an update for anime stations next, although the main priority is the prefecture project.

Good radios! but can you find radios that more focus on anime songs in general?
