Features

The mod is a framework and does not contain religion by default. I hope that the community will create its own religions and connections between other religions. However, to show the possibilities of this framework, you can download the Basic Pack of religions.

An improved version of the first version of the mod, a completely rethought idea of religions in the game.

Religion is a source of rules of conduct for a character who has a certain faith. Religion influences many aspects of a character’s life and has the following parameters:

- Piety
- Conversion criteria
- Conversion by talk
- Conversion incidents
- Conversion mental breaks
- Opinion
- Reaction to pawn/animal murders
- Reaction to pawn/animal deaths
- Eating specific foods
- Holy/banned weapons
- Apparel and apparel materials
- Religion buildings
- Worship
- Praying

Now your characters will have another feature that will affect their mood, behavior and more!

Every religion has unique effects on gameplay. The new Religion menu tab ingame accesses a codex of religions, showing their features for each of your characters.

Questions

Is this mod is compatible with Multiplayer Mod?
I'm not sure. Haven't tested it yet but I suppose no. After some time of tests I'll do my best to make it compatible

Is this mod is compatible with previous mod version?
No it's not. 2.0 was fully rebuilded with a brand new code base

I don't understand what to do and how it's work!

Whenever I select the religion tab in 1.4, it hangs and I have to force it closed.
I would like to find out why, but I have no talent for modding.

Ludeon's EULA states that they may use any Mod made for their product for anything they make, without compensation or notification, at any time, for any reason. They are under no obligation to acknowledge it, even if they directly copied the code line for line. That said, they apparently have attributed code in the past.

For everyone having problems. I am posting on the basic religion pack discussion board any of my findings. So far I have a quick solve to fix pawns not praying. A guide to come.

@mikuroshi There are work priorities "unpacking" mods out there, though. I personally use Work Tab, which works really well, even with modded tasks. They make the work tab a bit overwhelming to look at, but they allow players to set priorities individually per task.

In other words, while this mod alone does not provide for it, there are ways to set the "religius activities" task to max priority without making all your colonists drop whatever they do to haul a random chunk of rock to storage.

Great in theory but poorly executed. Peity is too hard to manage so you basically end up with a -10 depression debuff to all religious pawns.

Yep worshipping is embedded into hauling, kinda dumb though since a pawn has to be in priority 1 in hauling so that they go to worship without missing it, would rather have it do something like the classroom in the leadership mod. -It's time for class! Everyone that's applicable drops what they're doing and heads to class regardless of job priority-
