Basic Solar Blocks

Colorable

Textured

Survival ready

For Small blocks (2x 1x1x1, 1x 0.5x1x1)

One full block with Solar Panels on both sides (PCU 15), one full block with only one Solar Panel on one side (PCU 10) and one half block with a Solar Panel on the inner side (PCU 10).

All blocks have the power of 0.0015 (Vanilla small Solar Panel 0.04 on a panel size of 8x5 blocks), so this have the power of 1.5x of the vanilla one compared to its size. So one Basic Solar Block gives you 1.5kW at max.

A small 4 LED Panel is on every Solar Panel on the downside to show his efficiency

Last Changelog:

- added 2 own Construction Stages per block.
- fixed the wrong rotation view on D and S block, now it shows the correct direction when you weld it up.

To do list:
- Check the Air-Tightness (should be, but not checked)

Hi Balmung, love your block solar panel! If you have time, could you make solar panels as panels? like the thin armor panels the game has? it would be so cool to have thin solar panels! If yes could you make the size 1x1x1, 2x1x1, 3x1x1, 4x1x1 and 5x1x1?

I wasn't really concerned about functionality of the angled ones - they would just add continuity for eye-candy effect.

The direction of the solar panel is hardcoded, so a slope/round one wouldn't make much sense.

I will give it a try. Have you considered making a sloped block and/or a rounded block variant?
Thanks bud!

Sorry, don't know what that could be, never had such a problem. This mod runs without a problem on my own Server. Maybe Steam messed up the Mod downloading and the mod is broken. I heard something from other users that this can happen, than you need to reinstall the mod: desubscript it an subscript it again, but it can be that you must delete your local files from this mod that it will work right.

I tried to run this on my server and it kept crashing it - steam could not locate the file. Something I might be doing wrong?

Short Question: did the Solar Blocks gives enough power? I'm not sure, I use it on my Server and it is maybe a bit low for the number on blocks I used. One the other side it gives you still a reason to use the vanilla solar panels, but you need many of this little solar blocks to get the power of one solar panel.

Was a stupid mistake from my side, now it shows the right direction when you weld them up. Also made extra Constructions stages like vanilla one for all 3 blocks.

There is still a rotation bug, block is corretly welded but it shows in the wrong position. I hope I could fix this soon, have already an idea what could be wrong here.

if you continue this mod, may consider the Slope variants(maybe not corner/inverted corner?)
