Description
MCRN Corvette Class Frigate

Length: 44.5 Blocks, 111.25 Meters.
Size: 2,103 Blocks. 16,864 PCU.
Dry Tonnage: 1,590 Tons.
Max Jump Distance: 3,145 Km.

This ship is vanilla and survival ready. It does use DLC blocks for aesthetic improvements, but those blocks are entirely or almost entirely not structurally necessary. If you do encounter a major issue, please, let me know so I can resolve it.

Knightmare Industries presents the MCRN Tachi (again). This is an updated version of the design, including a completely redone interior. The design's exterior and interior are fairly accurate, but is limited by SE and the available schematics for the canon ship.

LORE:
The MCRN Corvette is a part of a modernization program started by the Martian Congressional Republic. The program includes the smaller Morrigan Class Patrol Destroyer and the much larger Donnager Class Battlecruiser. The most famous MCRN Corvette has been the MCRN Tachi. This ship escaped the destruction of the flagship of the Martian Jupiter Fleet, the Donnager. It was then claimed as legitimate salvage by James Holden and his crew, who renamed it to Rocinante. The ship has been at the center of many pivotal events in the solar system and beyond.

Space Engineers Stuff:
The design is fairly light in mass and armaments. It has a full interior using the decorative DLC's. The Tachi is fairly similar to its namesake from The Expanse, but I altered it to some extent to allow it to fit into Space Engineers as a useful ship. Like in the series, it is capable of landing and taking off from a planet, but isn't capable of extensive atmospheric operations. There are 6 Gatling Guns, and 4 rocket launchers. The forward 2 Gatling Guns aren't connected to the rest of the conveyer system and need to be loaded manually via the cargo container on the Flight Deck. The Tachi's primary thrust is hydrogen, with a few Ion Thrusters for backup. There are 8 Reactors, a Battery backup system, and 2 Jump Drives.

Compartments:
Flight Deck / Ops
Airlock and Storage
Medical Deck
Galley
Crew Quarters
Machine Shop
Engineering
Cargo Bay Access
Cargo Bay
Reactor Section

I use a light changing script to switch around the interior light settings. Its an older script and I couldn't find the original creator. The script was updated by ColTeH so that I could use it.

Please feel free to modify the ship to fit your in game needs. Just be sure to give credit to the original creator.

A great deal of credit should go to Veshka and their original Tachi blueprint, which inspired my first expanse style designs. It was Captain Jack's review of Veshka's Tachi which got me back into Space Engineers and led to everything that I now have on the workshop. Links to the blueprint and review are below, and special thanks to both of them for their content.

Author's Notes
So, it's out. This is an update of a previous iteration of the Martian Corvette Class Frigate. New paint job, a tweaked hull, and a redone interior provide some good changes to the design. I wanted to make it as accurate as possible, and unfortunately that's both limited by SE and, as I found out with more extensive searching, inconsistent schematics which don't match up with what we see on the show. Went with the best options for SE in most cases. I'm happy to release the finished product, and I hope you enjoy it too.

If you have any questions or comments about the ship, please leave them in the comments below. Thank you for browsing this item. Safe Voyages! Papple.

Hey Pabble2, I've created a modified version of this ship called the Kalahari, I posted it on Reddit a few days ago. Can I upload it? With credit of course.

@DraRex368 Hi. If you want to modify it and share that, go for it. As for the color scheme, I'm not sure what you mean. I didn't use a specific HEX code for making it, if you need the color its simple enough to copy it in game, and the game provides the color coding which is either in HEX or can be converted to it.
