Era - 1990s / Early 2000s - UFC/Pancrase

A member of the early Gracie Challenge fights that would eventually evolve into the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Jason DeLucia had a well rounded skillset for the era, training in classical Kung Fu and Tae Kwan Do as well as picking up on the submission systems of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

DeLucia won the original pre-tournament bout in the first UFC event, tapping Trent Jenkins out to a rear naked choke. He would then lose to Royce Gracie, armbarred in the second tournament, and fought extensively in Japan's Pancrase organization, defeating Masakatsu Funaki, Ikuhisa Minowa, Chris Lytle and Minoru Suzuki(yes, THAT Suzuki) during his run.
