[WotC] Coilguns - Beam Tier Replacer 3.0

Description
Features
This mod replaces the Beam tier with Pavonis Interactive's Coilguns and edits the names, descriptions and research projects to fit them into the game's lore and story.

This mod uses Iridar's Weapon Skin Replacer to edit the weapons at startup. It's completely cosmetic and should therefore be safe to install and uninstall at any point in the campaign.

Pavonis Interactive for making the awesome models in the first place and allowing them to be noncommercially reused.
Artek for his Laser and Coil ghost templates for WotC, which made updating this mod way easier.
Iridar for the incredible Weapon Skin Replacer on which this mod relies.
Iridar again for making hero and SPARK variants of the Coil weapons!

just to mention that there is a small error on the "XCOMWeaponSkinReplacer.ini" file.
The last line (57) is missing a " on the termination.
reads: INVENTORY_IMAGE="img:///UILibrary_LW_Coilguns.TECH_AdvancedCoilWeapons)
Should be: INVENTORY_IMAGE="img:///UILibrary_LW_Coilguns.TECH_AdvancedCoilWeapons")

The " before )

Outside of that the mods works very well.
Just wish there was a way to scale the weapons a notch down.

Does this work with the LW2 Secondary Weapons mod, as in properly replace them with the coil equivalents?

This mod does not modify hunter rifles. Is that a planned feature similar to how the LW weapons are turned into their respective variants?

If you use the AML, you can remove '-review' from the launch arguments and the game will launch in testing mode. When you go to start a new campaign, Debug Strategy Start should be available. That campaign will have every item in the game in your inventory for you to look through.

Hello, I'm trying to cheat these guys in, where would I go and which line of code would be the correct one to check out? I'm just trying to see if they actually work replacing the beam models.

it was a conflict with "weapons and item overhaul", but only with assault rifles

All the advanced Coil research projects share the same image. There were only two research projects in the original Long War 2 (Coil and Advanced Coil) so I used the Advanced one for all three advanced projects.

Assault Rifle not renaming sounds like a conflict with another mod: if you have something else changing the localisation entries for beam weapons, it may be taking priority.
