It's a rover. And it's small, really small. That's it.

The 40-R is a simple rover built for the purpose of fitting into any hangar, garage, etc. You can comfortably park it in a 2x2x1 large blocks space. It does not have a lot of features, only a beacon and an ore detector, but is very cheap to build on the other hand. Since the wheel suspensions are stacked on top of each other, the wheels can't travel very far, making this rover mediocre at best in bumpy terrain. On straights it is suprisingly fast though and can drive up to ~150 km/h without much danger. To recharge it, you can just grind down and reweld the batteries or attach a rotor head to the back cargo container and attach it to a rotor on your main grid. You can of course also switch out the batteries or the cargo container for an uranium reactor.

Btw this is the first actual rover I've ever built.

Shiny! I like to make small fun mobiles like this and go drifting on large ice lakes. This looks perfect for that.

Added to my comment:

I do keep it around for now to learn some basics as I try to make some vehicles of my own. Also perhaps I can remake this thing in to something that may be usable for me.

Super handy if you just want to race around as it is damn quick for flat terrain. But it doesn't have the capability for much cargo or offer other features that may proof useful in survival mode. It doesn't really have the ground clearance for bumpy terrain and it will even get stuck on your base if you have ramps installed.

Fun as this thing may be and pretty good looking as well, it just is not usable for survival as it is very quickly obsolete as you need to upgrade to a bigger ground vehicle quickly that does the speed but can handle what this one can not. Sorry, there for a down thumb. I love the idea and it's fun, but it isn't as functional as I would hoped it to be.

you can project it, but do it a meter above the ground so you have enough space to add the wheels.

"No Subgrids"
Technically thats not true as each individual wheel is counted as a subgrid... lol...

Seriously though, sick little rover you got here!
