Description
This mod was integrated into Arma itself with the 2.00 Performance/Profiling branch and is now OBSOLETE.


This mod does what it says, it caches some data that Zeus usually has to reload everytime you open the interface.

In short it fixes the freeze when opening the Zeus interface with many mods loaded.

Limitations:
This might seem magic to you, and it kinda is but it also has some downsides:
  • Only works with BattlEye disabled (This mod simply cannot possibly ever work with BattlEye unless you want to get game-banned permanently. So please stop asking me about BE compatibility.)
  • Disables Zeus pricing system (all units cost 0)
  • Makes all units/vehicles/items from all loaded mods available, activatedAddons in mission.sqm or addCuratorAddons are all irrelevant, you cannot hide things.

But because you cannot hide things, I instead also optimized the Zeus search. See video above for a comparison.

Multiplayer notes:
This mod is clientside only. Only Zeus users need to load this.

FAQ:
Q1. Can you make a BE compatible version?
A1. No its not possible to make a BE compatible version.

Q2. Can you get the mod whitelisted by BattlEye?
A2. I can. But it will just cause BE to gameban you for hacking. Whitelisting just allows the dll/mod to be loaded, if the mod does "bad" stuff, it'll still ban you for it.

Q3. Can you make a 32bit version?
A3. No, that would be a waste of time as barely anyone is on 32bit anymore, just use 64bit.

Q4. Does this work with ZEN/Ares/Achilles?
A4. Yes.

This mod is licensed under CC-BY-NC-ND[creativecommons.org].
Meaning you cannot reupload it to the workshop, cannot share it without giving credit (not removing my name from the pbo is enough), and cannot sell it. In short, keep your filthy hands off of my stuff.

Noticed recent problems too. Small mod collection still having laughably bad performance (32gb ram, Ryzen 5800x).

This is a years old problem and they still didn't fix it.

Hey Ded! Is there any work around for Zeus loading on opening now? Default Arma "Patch" did not solve the problem...

I am having issue opening it not only the first time, but all the time. I do have like 60 mods. But Zeus Cache actually used to work. Default Arma thingy doesnt

The launcher says this mod is corrupt and unplayable because it doesn't contain EPO/PBOs - I tried deleting the folder and resubscribing but got the same result. Ideas?

Yeah I'm having similar problems here. It used to work until recent, and now myself and all others connected to my mission (I host and zeus) have huge lag spikes when going in and out of zeus.

even on prof branch and this mod enabled, im still getting the zeus load freeze
