This mod adds several new conveyor tube shapes, as well as armored versions of all conveyor tubes to the game, allowing you more freedom when designing your conveyor systems. It also adds other miscellaneous conveyor-related blocks, such as the Conveyor Access, which is a half-block of the size of an air vent that allows you to access your cargo network without having to place a cargo container.

AQD - A Quantum of Depth is a project of mine, encompassing multiple small and larger mods aimed at improving the gameplay experience and eventually overhauling larger parts of the game:





New Conveyor Shapes
The mod currently adds the following new conveyor shapes:
  • Conveyor X Junction
  • Conveyor Tube Junction
  • Conveyor Endcap
  • Conveyor Tube 5x1
Armored Conveyors
Furthermore, the mod contains armored versions of all conveyor tube shapes:
  • Conveyor Tube
  • Conveyor Corner
  • Conveyor T Junction
  • Conveyor X Junction
Miscellaneous Conveyor Blocks
  • Conveyor Access - It allows for easy access of the conveyor system without having to place a cargo container and only taking up a half block's space.

General notes
  • Green / Yellow indicators for connectivity are iffy. This is unfortunately a limitation within Keen's emissive code that only supports up to two connections for conveyor tubes.
  • I will add additional blocks to the pack but I'm as of now not committing to adding additional conveyor shapes. I've got some ideas there but I think what I've got in now covers most use cases and at some point, adding too many shapes will make using all of them more annoying.
  • The conveyors are only for large grid. I don't currently have plans to make versions for small grid.

Could you please make the Conveyor Adaptor its own mod? Maybe add a variant that can connect small to large grid too?

Hello, I believe BlockPositions.sbc needs an update. Keen have moved Conveyors to row 14 by default. In addition, I think the block pair ConveyorTubeDuct should be added to BlockPositions.sbc so that the variant group you create named ConveyorReinforcedGroup appears in the correct row as well.

Damn, was really hoping for at least the slanted one. As I said, I tried combining that mod with yours and now the block group shattered and is completely broken apart somehow. Could be a third mod doing it too, but I just can't tell. Tried various different arrangements of the load order.

But anyway, perhaps its something you can add to the list of things to do the next time you go adding new things to this mod?

Ah, I didn't know there was a vanilla one. Been a long time since I played without mods and such.

Any chance you could do the slanted conveyor at all? If so, maybe a long one too?

The vanilla one is purely visual and doesn't turn the tubes green

Oh, I see. Huh. So whats the other end cap do then? Not sure what that one's for. I've been using it only.

because the end cap closes the network and turns the conveyor status to green.

There is a slanted conveyor mod, however it does not play nicely with this mod, and destroys the block groups.

I too, would like to see this type of of conveyor integrated into the mod, as well as a 5 long slant which is more complicated to do I know.

I remember another mod way back that had more shapes too. You have added the T and the All Sides conveyor, but not the 3 opening corner or the Corner T (4 holes).

Also I don't get why there's an end cap that also uses the conveyor grid processing since it can't actually do anything when you have the flat end cap that doesn't do that. Why make an end cap that can't be interacted with that also costs extra processing power?
