I do have a VPN, but shutting it down doesn't fix the problem. RimPy still shuts down when trying to check for an update for a mod which was downloaded manually. If I try to check for an update for a mod which I've downloaded through RimPy - it works fine. I've figured it has something to do with the contents of datestamp file in the mod directories. Mods downloaded using RimPy have dates in the file, while mods which were downloaded manually do not.
It just had a hickup during the initial launch of the new update and DLC
Like every single mod in existance
This isnt even a direct mod on its own, its a program that uses a mod database, rimsort uses the same one. They literally say so on their page. Krapuul is trying to either spread misinfo or whatever it may be. The mod isnt dead. Cause it aint a mod. Its a program. And the program works as intended.
Not everything needs a conspiracy theory and have you possibly considered that the author has been asked plenty of times already to the point where they might get annoyed? No of course you havent. Far easier to run your mouth over a simple ban.
@Jet Nothing you can do then. You gotta delete the duplicate in order to get rid of the warning.
You have VPN-like software running? Shutdown that then Rimpy will just run, but run into another problem then lol.
When you have issue, maybe go check issue page in GitHub to see if it's record and if there's solution, this will save time.
There is something funky about RimPy. You can use RimSort instead.
