The Draconic Base is a development framework for the content creators of Garry's Mod. It includes many various things such as material proxies, extended player functionalities, a lightweight but versatile weapon base set, extensions to player customization within the game, and a small library of lua functions & systems meant to make otherwise complicated systems within the game easier to create.

The Draconic Base does not alter any pre-existing systems within Garry's Mod. This means it is entirely clean and leaves no dirty marks when installed to your game or server. The Draconic Base does not and will never alter stuff outside of its own code. In layman's terms, IT SHOULDN'T CONFLICT WITH ANYTHING.

Everything I do is free because I can find some fun in making it, or because it helps others make fun things. Legal
The "Draconic Base" is a free-to-use addon. Please adhere to the Garry's Mod Steam Workshop Rules[wiki.facepunch.com]. This most notably includes "Do not reupload addons". Please do not reupload the Draconic Base. It is an actively-maintained project, and reuploads will create conflicts. It is a base for a reason.

A proper usage agreement can be found in the License file[github.com] on the GitHub.

I use Fesiug's Edit of Enhanced Playermodel Selector, since that is the most popular version.

to clarify "disabled" is just a string used to identify that a player hasn't selected an override hand model, if the setting is being overwritten each time you launch your game then I believe some other addon is overwriting a convar by the same name as Draconic attempts to archive and read this value. Do you have any other playermodel selectors with hand overrides installed? I know I worked around the existing "Enhanced Playermodel Selector" to ensure compatibility, but I don't know about others.

Issue still persists, the only thing I was wrong about was the hands reverting back to the default hands when changing maps, only occurs when reopening the game. The convar was "cl_playerhands disabled" which would always revert back to that state when reopening the game after I typed "cl_playerhands enabled" into the console before quitting. It didn't revert back to "cl_playerhands disabled" when I unsubbed from Draconic Base.

Try setting your hands in the Draconic menu to the "X" option and see if the issue persists. I was trying to fix another issue which was preventing hands from updating at all. If the issue does not persist after that, let me know what the convar "cl_playerhands" was set to

the playermodel hands revert to the default kleiner hands whenever I open the game or enter a new map, it gets really annoying having to reselect the hands of my playermodel over and over
