Description
----Some important info at the bottom----

Welcome to Webbers Falls

The River

This map is an inspiration from a real location known as Webbers Falls, Oklahoma. It is not a replica, but a close inspiration of it. The real location has functioning locks and a low-water dam. You cannot drive across the dam as it is for their personnel only. But the river that runs through it is very large and slow-moving known as the Arkansas River. I tried to make it as real as it is with sand banks and its meandering course. I have thrown in a few more rivers to add more interest and to also break up the map a bit.

The Terrain

The hills and low mountains are also similar to the terrain a little ways south of Webbers Falls, known as the Ouachita (wash-uh-tah) Mountains. They are not exactly mountains, but rather steep hills and ridges that run for many miles across southern Oklahoma and Arkansas (Ar-kan-saw). But I mainly drew inspiration from a famous road that runs along the top of the highest ridges/mountains known as, Talimena Drive. I have included a picture of it during the fall months, which is one of the most popular times of the year when many motorists (mainly bikers) cruise along what is dubbed, Skyline Drive, as you are mostly above all other hills and mountains making for great views. How fitting is that for this game? As you can see, Skyline Drive exists in my map!
There is also much build space along the rivers and in some of the valleys to make a decent sized city. Maybe not a metropolis, but a good town that would compliment the map. The hills and mesas in the center would make for some good fancy villas or a nice country-rural vibe.

The Resources

Oklahoma is known for its oil and natural gas, so I have made oil quite bountiful in this map, along with lots of fertile land. Ore is also plentiful, so this is a map for an industry tycoon! In fact, the Industries DLC is required as I have used a street and some fencing from that pack near the dam.

Notes

You should subscribe to my theme for this map Oklahoma Summer

No LUT's or Eyecandy settings were used during the creation or screenshots, but you are more than welcome to use the realistic LUT for much better daytime lighting!

If you wish to bulldoze any of the bridges, be aware that there will be a lot of pillars left. I have cloned many of them to make the infrastructure more realistic, as the vanilla segment spans are very sparse and unrealistic. If you cannot bulldoze them with the vanilla bulldozer, I highly suggest using Move It and using the left [alt] and highlighting or clicking then use the delete button with the mod. You will be able to remove them, as I would not have published this map if you couldn't.

When you purchase the tiles with the dam, the water will slosh around some as the physics works itself out. It will flow normally, just give it a few in-game days.

I should also note that I have listed No Radioactive Desert and More! because there are many bushes and trees on the water's edge and they would look all yucky if you don't have it.

I hope you enjoy the map and post pics of your cities! I had a lot of fun building this map and I believe you will have fun building your cities!
Don't forget to rate my map if you LIKED it or if you're a meanie-head and hated it!
All feedback is welcome.

99% sure it's due to a mod conflict. NExt 2 is unstable and I don't have it subscribed anymore. I'm also no longer playing C:S for anticipation of C:S 2.

Ive followed all requirements, but cant seem to get the map to load in new game. Ive built on this map before, not sure why i cant use it now.

I watched the review by BonBon. What I saw looks great and I've added this to my maps to try out. I think what really caught my eye were the look out spots up on top of the mountain. BonBon didn't much like the second one but I completely disagree. All 3 are great as they have different angles of view from each other. Nice job.

wish I had the required DLCs. I'm rocking Vanilla and mods
the thumbnail looks beautiful though.

I really love this kurta. And he built more than one city here! Could you update this map with more details, for example?

Finally, finished my city on this map after a year and a half
I chose the map because of how simple yet detailed it was, and the dam dam.
thanks for making the map, exactly what I wanted.
Great for building around the environment too.

@Tupac, not sure why you're unable to bulldoze the pillars, as I have already tested it before map submission. I ensured that the player would be able to remove the pillars before I submitted the map. Are you using the vanilla bulldozer? That worked fine for me, or you can even use the delete tool in the Move It! mod. Just ensure that the "building" box is checked, the pillars are recognized as buildings in the game code apparently.

Enjoyed it at first but the abandoned highway columns dont allow me to build my roads. Aswell as a couple of them not being able to be deleted. A+ map if i wanted to stare at a pretty landscape. Otherwise not very useful for building unfortunately

My grandmother raised me, and she was from Talihina, we used to take the Talimena drive multiple times a year and it holds a special place in my heart. You've made this old man happy. Looking forward to playing around in here.
