Xbox Controller Settings ETS 2

My settings for Xbox One controller.

Controls

First set up controls. Don't forget choose keyboard+XInput Gemapad 1. If you didn't choose XInput Gemapad, force feedback will not work. Now set up other things like on screenshots.

Buttons

Cruise Speed Increase - Joy Up
Cruise Speed Decrease - Joy Down
Engine Brake Toggle - LS
Interior Look Forward - RS

Updated Controls

I made some changes:

• Thanks to this guide I was able to bind cobination X + B to gear neutral,
  
• Toggle Engine Break is bind for Right Control instead Left Stick Click,
  
• Left Stick Click is bind for Cruise Control.

Just open controls.sii in any text editor and past the code into your controls.sii which is located in

c:\Users\[user_name]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\steam_profiles\[profile_id]\
or
c:\Users\[user_name]\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\profiles\[profile_id]\

after replacing the code you have controls set up like me.

@Liofa: No, because it’s not conformtable to use the right hand to change gears on D-pad when you are using the left hand on the left stick to steer.

Sequential shift up and down make more sense on the D-PAD.

If "Keyboard + XInput..." isn't showing up:

- go to game in your steam library
- click "Controller Layout"
- under any of the controller tabs (PS4 Controller, Xbox 360 controller, etc.), click the little gear icon next to "Edit Layout"
- select "Disable Steam Input"
- use DS4Windows with the Xbox 360 config and you should be good

@chao: Retarder is something like an engine brake, but for gearbox. It is electromagnetic brake used for long downhills (check Google for more info) and shift up/down is for changing gears in gearbox.
