The Fabulous Moolah

The Fabulous Moolah was an icon in the wrestling business for decades.

Moolah had multiple reigns with the NWA World Women's Championship that lasted years, and two reigns each spanned over 10 years.

In 1983, Moolah sold the rights to he title to the WWF and became the first WWF Women's Champion. She feuded with Wendi Richter, culminating in Richter winning the title at The Brawl to End it All on MTV. She would win the title three more times in the WWF, included a short reign in 1999.

She was a major player in women's wrestling outside the ring as well. Moolah trained and promoted numerous wrestlers starting in the late 50's. In recent years, after Moolah passed away, there has been controversy surrounding Moolah, as several former wrestlers have made accusations of financial and sexual exploitation.
