NOD Colorize

Description
ALPHA RELEASE

NOD Colorize

This addon allows users to recolor their NODs (NVGs). The changes are accessed through addon settings.

Note: this should not be used in conjunction with my White Phosphor Mods.

This a spinoff of my White Phosphor mod: White Phosphor

After releasing White Phosphor I had a few requests for changes or custom editions. This mod is an answer to those requests. NOD Colorize allows you to re-color your NODs to your exact preference. I had also seen a couple of references online where people wanted custom NOD colorization to help with certain types of color blindness so hopefully this can be helpful in that capacity.

Note that the colors you select are being mixed weith the existing green hue of the NODs built into vanilla ARMA.

For more details on the settings associated with this, refer to BIS's documentation on the ColorCorrection Post Process effect: LINK[community.bistudio.com]

This mod requires CBA and should be compatible with both vanilla ARMA and ACE. Note that you will see color differences when using this addon with and without ACE due to the changes ACE makes to NODs.

I encourage folks to post up their configurations on the BIS Forums: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/224338-nod-colorize/

For reference, here are the settings for my white phosphor mods:

ACE Version:
brightness 1
contrast 0.6
offset 0
Blend color (RGBA) 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0
Colorize Color (RGBA) 0.4, 1.4, 2.4, 0
Desaturate Color (RGB0) 1, 1, 1, 0

Non-ACE Version:
brightness 1.1
contrast 0.7
offset 0
Blend color (RGBA) 0, 0.05, 0.05, 0
Colorize Color (RGBA) 0.25, 0.75, 0.8, 0
Desaturate Color (RGB0) 1, 1, 1, 0

Thanks

Thank you for the prompt response. This mod does not start with the white phosphor settings, just regular green. At your convenience you can post those values here, I will also play around with the values to see what different combinations I can achieve. Great mod nonetheless.

Taxi-service: yes, that's the intent. IIRC this mod starts out with the White Phosphor settings. If not, please reach out again and I'll try to paste in the values over the weekend

Cool mod, is it possible to customize your white phosphorus nod in this mod? If so what are the values?

I wanted to update I am using this thermal map with Nod colorize and it seems to work great. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1799993760 I only wish I can adjust the green to match nod colorize better.

I will checkout A3Ti. Thanks for the suggestion!

Valken, unfortunately the ARMA 3 engine doesn't support that. You may want to check out A3TI though, those guys have done an amazing job of overhauling the ARMA 3 thermal system (by writing a new one)
