Description
Junkers JU/87 'Stuka' Dive Bomber

Requires Supergridding. I do not condone or endorse the Nazi party. The presence of the Swastika and Luftwaffe Cross are not meant to offend, only to be a true-to-history replica.

ABOUT

The Junkers JU/87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, "dive bomber") was a German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, it first flew in 1935. The JU/87 made its combat debut in 1937 with the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War and served the Axis forces in World War II.The aircraft was easily recognisable by its inverted gull wings and fixed spatted undercarriage. Upon the leading edges of its faired main gear legs were mounted the Jericho-Trompete (Jericho trumpet) wailing sirens, becoming the propaganda symbol of German air power and the so-called blitzkrieg victories of 1939–1942. The Stuka's design included several innovations, including automatic pull-up dive brakes under both wings to ensure that the aircraft recovered from its attack dive even if the pilot blacked out from the high g-forces.

The construct does not require any mods for its actual build, as per usual. The only mod is the airplane wings used on the build. Supergridding is necessary.

@Infamous amazing work but could you make a version with the plane parts + Propeller mod?

@Infamous Anyway, comments on WWII-era politics aside,
nice work. :steamhappy:

@Infamous The Nazi swastika however IS a bad symbol and
represents something evil so appreciate how you said it was
not meant to offend anyone; just to be historically accurate.
To be honest Nazi swastika markings on planes don't offend
me; it's the S.S. symbol and those black and red and white
swastika armbands the Germans wore that offend me. And
their red black and white Nazi flag.

@Infamous Technically you didn't have to apologize for
the use of the Luftwaffe cross symbol. It's not a symbol
specific to the Nazi party. It is the international military
marking for German planes and tanks and other stuff
and they still use it today. Still, even though you didn't
have to I appreciate how you wanted to make sure nothing
you put here offended anyone, even if some things you
used were not things that could be considered offensive.
