Turret-Mk3-Enyalios [discontinued]

Description
[Vanilla|Survival Ready|Subgrids]

A simple placeable turret with 12 gatling-guns.

It is set up to work with the Diamond Dome Defense script.
You can also use it with other scripts, but have to do the setup (naming etc.) yourself.

It is fully conveyored through the advanced rotors.


How to use:
-Place turret on your ship (as many as you want)
-Build some blocks around it if you want (as shown in pic 2-4)
-Place at least one AI turret
-Group all AI turrets with group name "DDS Designators"
-Place programmable block and load the Diamond Dome script


Some stats:
-Blocks: 157
-PCU: 2220
-Mass: 16,2 t
-Light and heavy armor
-Max-Angle: 0° - 90° Up


Troubleshoot
Can't place blocks around it?
-try turning it around by increasing the velocity of the azimuth rotor
Still doesn't work?
-remove turret (except azimuth rotor)
-place your blocks around it
-paste another turret into an empty space and remove azimuth rotor (not the rotor-head)
-copy/paste second turret over azimuth rotor base and attach
-you might have to push it into it a bit
Doesn't shoot?
-make sure you have designators grouped correctly and shooting at the target
-Are there any blocks in the way? The script will prevent friendly fire.

It still works fine. I updated all of my turrets a while back and the update of this resulted in the T-8F Ares. It just looks so different that I decided to release it separately and keep this as is.

Great work dude really, one of my build is using this turret why is it discontinued ? Is the model too weak or too much CPU usage ? Should i switch to the Helios T-8F Ares as i wana use diamond dome defense script ?

Only this large grid turret. I'm gonna make a small grid turret with reloadable rocket launchers in the future though.

Hey Jonathan, (knowing you are german ill proceed in german language):

Ich finde, deine Geshütztürme ziemlich schick und würde diesen MK4 Trum auf einem meiner Schiffe verwenden wollen, das ich im WS hochladen möchte. Du bekommst natürlich die Credits für deinen Geschützturm (Ich kann diese teile einfach nicht bauen...)

Möchte an dieser Stelle nur sicher gehen, ob du etwas dagegen hast :)
