Description
Space / Planet Recon Fighter
All enviroment capable
Landing / Leaving planet / Planet-side cruise WITHOUT Hydrogen!!
Full Vanilla

Survival Ready.
Dash in and out of atmosphere anytime, anywhere !
A new iteration of the old Corvus fighter.
Using only ion and atmospheric thrusters.
Powered by two Reactors, with a Oxygen Tank and intake Airvent for long range mission.
Equipped with two Gatling Guns.

For older design with similar function:
Corvus

For oldest design with similar function:
Owl

**Maximum cargo weight is recommended to be around 3,000 kg**
Leaving planet with heavier weight is still possible, though I only test it up to 3,000 kg

Tips for Landing&Leaving surface

< Landing >
Face ship belly towards the ground and your good.

< Leaving surface >
Face ship tail towards the ground, make sure you are normal to planet surface.
Keep the ship at top speed.
If you are carrying some weight, the speed will drop after certain height, DON'T PANIC.
Keep forward button pressed, speed dropping will slow down and finally start to accelerate again.

*WARNING*
Using speed increasing mod will make leaving surface much easier.
But at the same time makes landing harder or even fail. Caution is advised.

Notes for personal oxygen bottle
The Oxygen tank is connected with the cockpit via large port, yet to the connector with small port.
Meaning you can pull your oxygen bottle to / from the oxygen tank while sitting in the cockpit, but not through the connector.

Total weight is about ~ 69,400 kg

After the Rutile class star ships, T.N.N.S.F. has entered a new design era, with generally every old design having a new counterpart.
Rutiles fulfill the role of Milesians, ArchDruid replaces Druid as the fleet command, Quartz replaces the Gnome.
However, although the Acorn fighters largely replace Owl and Corvus as the standard fighter with their lower cost and better performance, the adaptation of Hydrogen also shorten their average flight time in space.

While Acorn works wonder on long range planet-side patrol and possess excellent versatility by being able to reach space with enough ice fuel, its space operation time is greatly hindered.
It may not cause issues for heated but short interception sequence and dog fights, but renders them less ideal for patrol and recon missions that last a long period.

The old Corvus fighter is hence still favored by many for its Hydrogen-free nature despite the higher ion thruster Platinum cost, especially by the privateers who usually work alone.
Because of this, T.N.N.S.F. combined the concept of Corvus with the new design approach, creating a new spiritual successor that completely ditches battery and purely runs on reactors, further lengthen its operation time.

From the very first crow fighter prototype, to the owl and the Corvus, this new ship carries on the name of the crow with a name with the same meaning ─ Badhbh

Badhbh (Modern Irish, pronounced [ˈbəiv])

It basically means "crow"

To put it simply, this is the re-imagined version of Corvus fighter with my new design approach.
Because although Acorn is very capable, it is no as "do-it-all" as Corvus.

Acorn is good for planet surface patrol because it can fly on only atmospheric thrusters.
Good for short period dogfight because of the better manuverability.
Good for dropping from orbit and support the surface battle.
Yet if it tries to reach orbit from surface, there is not much ice/hydrogen left for it to operate a lot.
Basically Acorn is an excellent "Interceptor", but not so much for flying everywhere for a long time, which is what most players would actually need the ship to be capable of.

This can be somewhat resoved by putting some ion thrusters on Acorn, but I think three types of thrusters on a single small ship is too much a cluster.
So instead I re-designed a ship to fill the same role of Corvus.
Hope you will like Badhbh, if not, give a chance to the old Corvus to see if it is more to your likings :)

Your Acorn, Rutile and Badhbh ship don't seem to work for me in survival mode, only in creative? I tested all their variants. The rest of your ships for perfectly fine. Can I do something about this myself?
