This mod is based around the TV Series "The Handmaid's Tale" which is based on adystopian novel by Canadian author Margaret AtwoodIt, is set in a near-future New England however this mod is based in the base games 1936, in a totalitarian state resembling a theonomy that has overthrown the United States government.

Handmaids are forbidden to use their birth names and must echo the male, or master, whom they serve.
The Handmaid's Tale explores themes of women in subjugation in a patriarchal society and the various means by which these women attempt to gain individualism and independence.

The reason this civil war has started is because only 2% of women can conceive a child, there is continued work being done on this mod which will in the future will include events and a custom focus tree for each new country in the central america.

I'll 2nd the other comment from yesterday asking about the status of this mod. Would love to see this mod brought up to date. I don't have much experience as a modder, but I've got an IT background and would be willing to help if there was any thing needed to get this mod off the ground again.

In the middle of watching Handmaid's tale, is this mod discontinued? It looks promising enough and i'd love to give this mod a try

This ever going to get a revamp? It has a lot of potential, but it isn't fleshed and out and has a few issues.

Nice, I'll have a look, can't make my mod part of MD till it's released, so i'll take a look at this in a couple weeks.

Millennium Dawn actually has shown a lot of progress on their discord for the next update. They've been working on it for a long time, and it's their merge with Modern Day 4. Adds a bunch of stuff, looks really cool. They said they would have it out a few weeks after MtG released, so we're just waiting now.

Unfortunately the Millennium Dawn mod isn't been actively updated and has issue with the latest release.

I was very tempted to do it as a submod for MD, however I'd need other to contribute towards the mod to help, as it would be a lot of coding for MD.
