Base Robots Expansion (1.2)

Description
I recently changed some of the settings to build robots. Turns out that pawns will take all day going back and forth getting resources and their mood would tank. So I have created another mod to deal with the crafting insanity.

Instead of forcing a player to build a robot by hauling stack after stack of items I divided the resources into robot batteries and robot microchips.

Sadly I doubt there will ever be a way to repair robots due to the way Base Robots is coded. Since I don't have any c# knowledge I can not fix that mod. That is why I released Base Robots Expansion which I was able to do with nothing but xml and Krita.

Mod that adds extra functionality to Base Robots.

Adds more functions to Base Robots.

Adds research and research tab.

Adds parts to build robots.

Adds a workbench to build the robots.
---------------------------------------------------------

Store the batteries far away from fire.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Load Directly Below Base Robots~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All my future robots will require this. Feel free to make your own robots and add this as a required mod. If you are good at textures feel free to release a texture overhaul or get a hold of me on Steam.
Robots that require this mod:
Arctic SE Hauling Robot
-------------------------------------------------
Thanks to Mlie, the mod is now on 1.2!
-------------------------------------------------
The prices are built around having other mods which supplement your income as well as the bots completely removing the need to satisfy pawn needs and wants. In my play-through I had so many robots that I didn't need to worry about food/clothes/psych/wishes.
Robots don't go crazy and they can even be used a mobile bombs/shields. I justified the prices due to all those effects.
(The meta was, windmill/solar/battery then tons of robots to do pawn work. I didn't like the idea of essentially cheating away half the game in an instant. Now it will actually take effort to create robots.)
BUT! you can customize the costs of every robot and part and even remove technology requirements as well and modify their speed and durability in the xml! .
Feel free to edit at your own content by using your favorite text editor heck even Wordpad can do it.
Each safely editable entry has a description and previous value if it had one.
Rimworld Mod folder is located by default in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100
Maybe some of the other guys can help you, or just ask them to update it for you.. Just ask Dubwise etc. ;)
@blackwater.
highly doubt it, as it requires c# coding that I have no idea how to update.
Hello Daniel. This Mod is georgeous. But it seems, it doesn´t work on 1.3 is there any chance for an update in the future?
Cheers.
Thanks for providing the info to change the prices for the bots.
I hate having my cleaning robot commit suicide because every time a prisoner has a tantrum or a jailbreak it rushes to him to go clean up the dirt he made breaking stuff and they kept breaking.
The prices are built around having other mods which supplement your income.
some mods have items that are worth millions of silver so I just balanced it around that but you can customize the costs in the xml .
It's located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100
mod number 1680426495
just change the prices with a text file editor.
I was so delighted to get my robots back after 1.2. My games have felt so flat without, but wow, I hadn't realized it was going to move them into what is, for me, waaaaay late game. I prefer early and mid-game colonies and often give up and start a new one before ever getting to fabrication, let alone advanced fabrication. Any way to maybe add a setting to adjust the prereqs for this back a bit so it's useful more in mid-game? Seems odd to be able to craft superior bionic limbs before I can make a cleaning bot. :P
Thanks to Mlie it's now 1.2 compatible!
You will need to download Base Robots again (it's a different URL) and Harmony.
