Arctic SE Cleaning Bot (1.2)

Description
The Arctic Standard Edition Cleaning Robot is your generic cleaning bot. This platform is used as the base blueprint for all other robots. If it isn't generic, it isn't Arctic. (A Medium Tiered Cleaning bot to be used with "Base Robots". This is an example of bots you can create on your own by changing the work type.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adds a cleaning bot which can be crafted. "Base Robots" MUST be installed and come first in the load order.
Now Requires Base Robots Expansion.

The robot recipe is in the ~Machining Table bills~.

Recipes now at Robot Fabrication table provided by Base Robots Expansion.

Base Robots provides a main "Robots" tab where you can see all active robots, rename them, and assign them to an area.

Feel free to make your own custom robots using Base Robots. You can use this mod as an example. The only things needed are textures and XML defs - the code is already taken care of.

---------

Thanks to NotFood for getting Base Robots up and running again for b18.

Charlotte for 1.0 update.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If your Robots are idling it is because the tile isn't considered dirty enough to need a pawn to clean it.

Test it yourself and create 100 filth using dev mode and tell me that your robot isn't cleaning.

If your robots don't work it is because of your mod order. Not the mod itself. The videos are proof that the mods work.

Thanks to Mlie for 1.2!

Does it work still?

any reason having these robots turned on would cause significant stuttering? im dropping from 140ish frames without them turned on to 30ish frames for a second every 10 seconds it feels like.

I actually like the art (I didn't draw it).

I can't C#, I honestly don't think anyone has coded anything that forced a pawn to stay on a certain terrain. The closest thing would be the Boats mod.

Is that an offer of drawing one for Daniel?

I was asking re: outside, because I would like a cleaning robot that can only clean on smooth surfaces (smoothed stone, constructed floor). Heck, I wouldn't want it to be able to *move* on anything but smooth/constructed floors. That would require more C# code, tho.

upgrading the graphic maybe?

yes but make sure you install both base robots and base robots expansion. also if u ever plan on removing the mod all you need to do is deconstruct and destroy anything from this mod you have built.

is this safe for an existing save?

if you set the zone they should do all cleaning jobs. so if u add a mod that has some object that can be cleaned then it should clean that as well.

the robot just goes off of what rimworld's "clean" job giver does.

there used to be a mod called "cleaning zone" or something like that and it would work with that mod as well but no one has updated it at least i don't think.

so the default behavior is to just clean and clean. imagine a normal colonist that only knows how to clean.
