Girls' Frontline Pack - LWMMG, FNC, M1918 BAR, IWS 2000

Description
Adds Grifon and Kryuger Civs led by LWMMG, FNC, M1918 BAR, and IWS 2000 leading their own bases separately, hailing from Girls' Frontline.

Supports both Korean and English (as do all my other mods in steam).

There are some spoilers for the Global Servers.

LWMMG
This hardworking lass is the third 2-star Doll to make it to the Civilization V realm, and LWMMG may not have fancy abilities but her bonuses can carry the day, and quite convenient to use.
Trait – Hunting Impulse
Non-Siege Land Ranged units deal 25% more damage to wounded units. +1 Production from Camps.

Unique Unit – Light Machine Gun
Replaces the Machine Gun. Stronger (60/60 -> 65/65), Faster (2->3, can move after attacking), and deals 20% extra damage for its first 3 attacks. This ability can be refreshed by starting a turn on a city with Munitions Factory.

Unique Building - Munitions Factory
Replaces the Factory. Does not require coal, and generates Gold when the city produces a unit. Gunpowder, Siege and Land Ranged units produced by the city unlocks a set of unique promotions. Slightly cheaper to construct. (360->350)

AI
LWMMG is among the more aloof characters in Girls’ Frontline. LWMMG isn’t a mean girl by any standards, but would like to keep her distance and not jump straight into declarations of friendship unlike some other civilizations. LWMMG is quite average on most things, although LWMMG focuses on Gold and ranged units more than many of the other Girls’ Frontline leaders.

FNC
The snack lover of Grifon and Kryuger, FNC is about acquiring luxuries. While FNC isn’t particularly powerful militarywise, FNC is quick on the move, and quite a nice economic leader to boot.
Trait – Sweet Hunter
Capital gains +1 Production, Science, Gold and Culture for every luxury FNC possesses (including city-state gifts and traded luxuries). Units that start a turn on a luxury tile gains 1 extra movement for the duration of the turn.

Unique Unit – Candy Witch
Replaces the Infantry. Heals 25 HP and gains a 25% Combat boost for the turn when moving to a luxury tile, triggered once per turn per unit.

Unique Building - Confectioner
Replaces the Bank. In addition to the normal effects of the Bank, causes Wheat, Bananas, Cattle, Wine, Sugar, Spice, Salt, Truffles, Citrus and Cocoa to yield 1 Extra Gold and Food. +1 Happiness.

AI
FNC is quite outgoing and is very eager to meet and make friends. But FNC is also quite capable in the hands of the AI thanks to useful economic bonuses. Expect FNC to grow big. FNC is also quite interested in developing tiles rather quickly.

M1918 BAR
BAR is about using culture as a military weapon: while her bonuses are far less consistent than the others, play BAR right and BAR can fight larger armies with relative ease.
Trait – Battlefield Magician
Land ranged and siege units refresh their movement point whenever a social policy is adopted, and deals 15% more damage for 3 turns afterwards. Cost of social policy is reduced by 10% on every 3rd era. (Medieval, Modern)

Unique Unit – Recon Squad
Replaces the Marines. Loses the regular bonuses of the Marines and are weaker and more expensive (400->425). Instead they are ranged units with a range of 3 and extra vision.

Unique Building – Firing Chip Factory
Replaces the Recycling Center. Available earlier at Electronics, provides 4 Aluminum instead of 2, has 2 Scientist Slots and causes Ranged and Siege units to gain 1 range.

AI
M1918 is a cinnamon roll, and as her looks would suggest is very friendly and not very aggressive. M1918 generally will prefer tall play and like many of the other Girls’ Frontline leaders aim primarily for a Science victory. M1918 will often make armies centered on ranged units, taking advantage of the Unique Building’s effect.

IWS-2000
IWS-2000 may have some bonuses to ranged attacks, but IWS-2000’s strength lies in diplomacy and making the right ideological choice.
Trait – Great Eagle Strike
Ranged and Siege units are 15% stronger when adjacent to each other. Great People are generated 10% faster for every civilization following the same ideology.

Unique Unit - Antimateriel Rifle Team
Replaces the Anti-Tank Gun. It is a 2-ranged ranged unit (50->52/40) that is unlocked at Replaceable Parts. Gains 1 range and 25% attack strength if the unit does not move, and gain another +1 range when starting a turn with a Great General on the same tile.

Unique Building – Gift Workshop
Replaces the Workshop. Provides +2 Culture and 1 Happiness on top of the regular Gift Workshop. When Economics is researched, if there is a Manufactory tile without resources worked by the city one of the Manufactory Tile generates the unique Present Luxury resource, which if traded grants both the receiver and IWS-2000 Golden Age Points and Great Scientist/Engineer points.

AI
IWS-2000 is about as friendly as one can get, rivalling only the likes of Hoto Cocoa in terms of friendliness. IWS-2000 is very eager to make declarations of friendships, and unlike many of the other Girls’ Frontline leaders a bit more interested in things like Religion, although not as much as truly religious civs.

"제가 문명 모드는 처음이라 혹시 먼저 적용해야할 게 있나요?"
제 문명 모드들은 모두 선행 모드를 요구하지 않습니다. 그리고 고유 유닛은 교체 부품에 해금됩니다.

I still am active in the Civ V Modding (I just recently released my VA-11 HALL-A civ), although I'm currently working on my big Pride of Nations mod before jumping back into more mod civs.

I wasn't using Civ IV traits.
About the upgrading, the AI did upgrade quite a few units, though I'm not sure how many, since she also pumped out quite a lot of new units. The main issue was that she increased her lead in technology from 6 techs to 11, which totally destroyed my initial advantage.
Concerning a downgrade, the main issue is that her huge cities have such a massive tech and production output, that with each tech building that scales with population she gets a massive boost.
I would take out the +1 food from her trait (for the capital) and maybe regulate her with happiness, because as it stands she has both population and the neccesary happiness to support it.
But either way thanks for the mod (and for the Bhava Agra one, really like Tenshi and had a great game with it).
Do you have any plans for new mods? I was quite astonished to see all these new Girl's Frontline mods, despite the fact that Civ VI is out (which I think is really awful, by the way).

I do have several questions and feedbacks
For one, I do agree that Kar98k is on the weaker side in the GFL civs spectrum and FNC is among the GFL civs a leader that the AI can handle fairly well. May I ask if you were using Civ IV Traits, though?

On the other hand, I'm geniunely surprised that AI actually upgraded units that far, since I never see AIs upgrade their units that diligently. FNC definitely got stuff that's easier on the AI (and the player) for that matter, how do you suggest I give FNC a bit of a hit?

Just played a game as Kar98k on emperor with FNC as an AI and it does seem to me that she's a bit too OP. Kar98k is rather weak if compared with other Civs, but FNC had 3 cities with 30+ population and 14 allied city states before turn 300 (I played with the Enlightenment and Future Worlds mod). I started war rather late, but during the war that was going on about 30 turns she upgraded from musketeers to WWI infantry and tripled her military power, despite the fact that I destroyed all her units twice.
I think she's manageable if you use a quite strong Civ, but she's rather over the top if you use weaker Civs (and Kar98k is considerably weaker).

Ok, I think I know how this has happened now, I shalt patch it soon

Thanks for the bug report :steamhappy:

No, all 4 of my cities weren't on a luxury. Again, just in case, when I did send a money trade route to a major civ, it didn't stop.
