[OLD] TwitchToolkit

Description
READ CAREFULLY
This is the original version of the TwitchToolkit (in all its glory). The biggest reason I keep this here is because it has some translations completed while the new version still does not. If you are playing in English language it is highly recommended to use the beta version.

Another twitch integration mod based on the popular mod Twitch Stories.

TwitchToolkit - Chat Storytelling Integration - Coins and Voting
This mod is far into beta-testing and is mostly bug free. We hate bugs so if you find any please let us know in the discord so we can fix asap.

Languages
Currently available in English and Deutsch. We are inviting translators to our team, please join via discord and let us know in the help section. https://discord.gg/qrtg224

If you are streaming this mod you can post in the channel-promotion section of our discord!

Main Features
TwitchToolkit adds to big features including the storytelling voting and coin store, both work standalone of each other.

Storyteller Voting
TwitchToolkit adds 3 new vanilla-like storytellers into the game. The Uristbot(cassy), Spartanbot(phoebe), and Hodlbot(randy) all use similar storyteller patterns to the base game. The difference is instead of coming up with only one possible outcome they come up with more depending on how many vote options you have max. This is not based on a real world timer but uses in game time to decide when incidents should occur.

New votes will show up on screen with a timer while the current results update in real time. You can drag the vote box to your preferred position.

Coin Store
TwitchToolkit adds the coin store which it is notorious for. Your viewers will earn coins per minute based on your settings. These coins can be spent on storytelling events and different tradeable ingame items. Events will happen immediately and items will come from cargo pods dropped near your base.

When purchasing an item/event, any message included after the command is included in the letter notification in game. See screenshots

Events have cooldowns to prevent absolute insanity (of course this can be turned off) and uses the games brain to decide if certain things can happen.

Items are generated from your custom game, so if you have mods with tradeable items, those items will be available in your purchase list.

@NECEROS yes i call it the toolkit because of all the options it gives you. Yes the viewers can mess you up really quickly if you give them the power to. The toolkit has lots of options that will take quite a bit of time to get a hold of. It may even be best to do a "testing" colony before getting serious with the toolkit. You can and should disable the store (which it is by default) until you are ready for viewers to start messing with your game. You can use the cooldowns to prevent too many of a certain thing from happening. The toolkit is different for every streamer and because viewers from different streams can be so different. Come into the toolkit knowing it is in BETA and is not the full vision I have and you will have to adjust some things. It is my goal though to get it into a stable enough positions than anyone who is just installing it, can hop right in with some sort of balance.

I'm interested in this mod for one of my streamers. He has worries that people can mess him up before he even gets started, but he's really interested in this mod.

Is there some way to make it so people can't mess you up early on, or limit what can happen in game when it's a new game?

This mod is under RAPID development! Be prepared to put some time into getting everything set up before you go live with it, and consider customizing all of the events and items to suit your playstyle.

@Wheezy yes there are plans and they are already being developed

@Phoenix C64 it's a great idea but I don't want to put in the time for that.

i think yo umentioned that you're working on integrating chatbot currency system... i'll drop another idea: discord integration to use the commands there, instead of a second twitch chat channel.

Are there plans to make this mod work with some of the larger mods such as rim of madness and the sorts?
Hoedull  [author] Apr 11, 2019 @ 4:57pm
@mister_aesthetic21 no plans of a YouTube version

@Samuro I am working on both an example mod extension that shows how to do this easily and helper methods in the mod to support new events
