Description
Kerrisdale Bay - Vanilla Map - by Sidai

Welcome to Kerrisdale Bay, a wonderfull plain vanilla styled map. This map is for all of you who dont want to download thousands of thousand of assets from the workshop and still want to have a good looking and detailed map.

Also designed with the Industries DLC in mind, there is plenty of flat space with Ore, Oil and fertile Land to build heavy duty industrie zones.

For easy start there is already a hydroelectric dam in place which generates some MW of energy, powerlines are placed right into the start zone. Also there are already water towers and sewage plants working (on the edge of the map) with water pipes also placed into the start tile. So you can start your city without worrying about first to have build some basic infrastructure. Even on the highways near the bridges there are already toll booths plopped and working, generating some income for you to spare.

General notes
This map is based on Vancouver Bay Area, Canada. Some features of map are nearly 1:1 to real life (the dam, the dirt road up the hill to the ski and hiking area), but at the same time it's also highly modified for better looks and playability.

Map Collection
NO MAP COLLECTION OR REQUIRED ITEMS, THIS! IS! VANILLA!

For the better looks i recommend to subscribe to the map theme and LUT. But you dont need them, the map is also fully playable without them.

Features
  • european theme settled in summer
  • Optimized for 9 tiles, 25 tiles or 81 tiles gameplay. You decide.
  • All outside connections available
  • Plenty of flat space spread over the map to build.
  • Mountains and hidden beaches.
  • already placed and working hydro electric dam
  • already placed and working highway toll booths
  • already placed and working water and sewage plants
  • big harbor area

It's best suited for 81 Map Tiles, these are very detailed and optimized. There is a ship route available into the river. And also at the harbor area, they are not interconnected to avoid stupid ships driving around like crazy.

Graphic and Gameplay options
If the map is too dark or to bright, DISABLE AND/OR RESET ALL YOUR GRAPHIC MODS! Especially Daylight classic, Relight and Ultimate Eyecandy. This is a vanilla map!

Hide It!
  • You may want to disable Volume Fog

Daylight Classic:
  • DISABLE/RESET

Ultimate Eyecandy
  • RESET/DISABLE
  • LUT: Dark Green

Relight Settings
  • RESET/DISABLE

Notes on map themes
I specifically designed this map for the map theme "NotSoRocky European Map Theme" from Khanador. The map theme is only recommended, the map is fully playable without it.

Additional note: Apparently the environment theme of the map is set to "European". As some of you have requested to change that to something non-euro in the comments below, you can do this with a little mod for yourself. No need to create a new map for this. All you need is the "Environment Changer & Improved Theme Selector" Mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=611254368

Notes on Pre-Build infrastructure
There are already facilities placed for sewage, electricity and water. If they don't provide any ressource, try to use the 81 tiles mod. You don't have to unlock all the tiles, just have the mod downloaded and installed. This is a known issue with the game.

Notes on trees
I plopped around 200k trees, so there is some left for you to plopp and no Unlimited trees necessary.

Notes on intersections and roads
I used the following premade intersections:

All credits go the the respective creators. All Mass Transit intersections are upgraded to Vanilla Roads. You don't need to subscribe to these intersection workshop assets, they are only linked to worship and give credit to their creators.

Final notes
For gameplay on all 81 tiles, please subscribe to 81 Tiles mod by BloodyPenguin.

Screenshots were taken with Khanadors NotSoRocky theme and Dark Green LUT mod by creativeDEX. Use Ultimate Eyecandy mod by Judazzz for even more options to adjust visuals to whatever you like.

Remember, if you like this map, please rate. It helps the community (and me).

Great map. I'm currently trying to put a city into it that is worth the map. Seems as if the harbour is meant to be used by special assets, for example the giant pier. Could you please give me a hint which they are?

I have been using this map for several weeks (25 tile) and eventually the trains get backed up beyond the 25 tiles - can you please fix??

Just started your incredible map. Why is the damn flooding? (I didn't change the terrain or anything near it) I don't own the plot yet. Am I doing something wrong? Is it normal?
