Description
General information
This mod aims to make ground combat more challenging and longer by implementing some of the suggestions in this reddit thread.

Features
- Armies have 50% more base health
- Armies are 20% more likely to disengage
- Orbital bombardment damage to armies has been reduced by 25%
- You can choose one of four ground combat doctrines to improve the way in which your empire wages planet-side war.

Version and compatibility
This mod was created for Stellaris 2.2.3, only content changes since then have been a Russian translation. Version number has been updated to 3.3, if any incompatibilities have been found let me know.

This mod overwrites a section of the 00_defines.txt file, specifically some defines from the army block. You can expect strange behaviour when combining this mod with any mod that overwrites the entire 00_defines.txt file or the army block from said file.
Is also compatible with mods that add new types of armies, those armies will get the same buffs as vanilla armies.
Should be compatible with all other mods.

@Dar Kunor: It should be compatible for all versions until Paradox suddenly changes something big with regards to ground combat!

My reasoning was that militarist empires don't focus on defense, but rather on offense - it's fairly easy to change it to allow militarist empires to use defensive combat though!

This is a great mod, but theres one thing that doesnt make any sense to me..

Why is Defensive Combat disabled for Militarist Ethics?

A species that has Militarist Ethic should have every single option available to them, because they are Militarists.

Defensive Combat should only be disabled for Determined Exterminators, imho

Only one way to find out - But yes, it should work. I could not find anything in the 3.4 'Cepheus' patch notes that should break the mod.
