Add hunting training to tamed animals.
One RimThemes theme included !

Cats can bring gifts (when they want) and are no longer unfairly useless (in the context of hunting).
Fully customizable !
A remastered concept of "Hunt for Me".

  • Predators can hunt solo, sometimes they will pack and hunt a bigger animal and haul the corpse to the closest stockpile
  • Packs are now formed at the position of the nearest member of the prey,
    the pack starts the attack only when all the animals have arrived at the position to avoid the latecomers
  • Predators can hunt only designated targets (with supervised mode enabled in animals tab)
  • Cats can bring 'gift' ( weaker preys ) to the closest stockpile and be sought to do it ( only if kitty want >=3 )
  • Optionnaly all animals can hunt
  • Predators will use ranged attacks if possible (moded animals)
  • You are notified when animals hunt
  • You can disable or enable revenge when animals are hunting
  • Predators can be manually forced to hunt every X hours ( customizable )
  • You are notified when manually forced predator can now hunt
  • Preys marked as (to tame) are not targeted by your predators
  • You can toggle hunting and 'supervised hunting mode' (predators only attack preys marked set as hunt) on the animal tab
  • Most of the time they’ll focus on smaller animals to avoid getting hurt (with safe hunting mode enabled on the animal tab)
  • Predators can attack bigger targets if the 'safe hunting mode is disabled' (they will only attack preys if it can pack with another predator and are stronger than the prey)
  • Fully customizable ( max number of hunters in the pack, list of preys to avoid, list of animals forced to melee attacks... )

  • Work with existing saves
  • Can safely be enabled/disabled in ongoing saves (if disabled, some errors messages can be seen on logs (not critical))
  • If predator dont haul prey's corpse when killed it's because other pawn is currently doing it (or will do).
  • All animals that can be trained to 'Obedience', 'Haul' and are not too small ( so no babies and very small pets), can be trained to 'Hunt'.

  • Vanilla animals overhaul reloaded ( Note: cats can learn 'Hunt' but even if learned they dont hunt, they only bring gift as expected )

  • Alpha animals ( Take care of "WillPods" they can down a whole pack... should whe need to append them in Hunt For Me's default preys to ignore blacklist ?)
  • Call of Cthulhu mods ( no longer hunting MistStalkers from HPLovecraft)

  • Genetic Rim
  • Flommel
  • Wild Pokémon
  • L-Slimes (Only SlimeMech can be trained to Hunt, others slimes have a level of 'intelligence' too low, but with V3 you can enable the option "Allow all animals to learn Hunting" )

I think pre-selected hunting packs should be an option. Where you can designate certain animals to always hunt together. I want to make animal hunting rat packs XD Have like 50 rats always hunting on the map. (Exaggeration, but you get my point)

For those having trouble excluding creature to the "do not hunt list" you can find their name in the devellopement mode, "debug action menu", "spawn pawn" and there a list of every creature. It should do the trick.

How do I find out the names of the creatures I want to exclude from hunting? I'm trying to stop my cats from hunting Aerofleets and dying a fiery explosive death but just typing in Aerofleet doesn't exclude them from being hunted by cats.

Hello i would like to point out your default force melee list is outdated the dragon mod has been updated and half the dragons if not all are no longer on that list as well as new ones have been added thought I bring it to your attention. love the mod

Can someone explain to me how the "Prey to ignore" option works?
Seems like I'm supposed to input the defName of the animal I want my pets to ignore, but how do I figure that name out?

Allow hunting in the animal tab is just stuck at X for me, clicking it doesn't change it to a checkmark, what could be causing this?

Is there an option to force animals to only hunt in pairs? Or manually select "groups" that hunt together? For example Bear and Feralisk and they will only hunt if both of them are able to.

Would be a cool feature

@aRandomKiwi I've noticed that the cats from Vanilla Animals Expanded don't seem to gift animals. From what I can see on the mod settings it /should/ be working, but it's not. Any ideas?
