UA: Ver Sacrum
Settlers can be purchased with Faith. Upon founding a City, all land animal resource tiles in the workable radius are claimed; one animal can be chosen as sacred totem, granting Faith and a unique bonus to the City and to the land Units produced therein.

The totems can be chosen only if the related resource is within working radius of the city, except for woodpecker.
  • Woodpecker: +2 Gold, +10% Gold. +1 Production from Jungle, Marsh, and Oasis tiles.
    Promotion Industry of the Woodpecker: +1 Sight, unit earns experience toward promotions 50% faster.
  • Horse: +2 Science, +1 Science for every 5 Citizens. +15 XP to newly trained Units.
    Promotion Dexterity of the Horse: unit can move after attacking, ignores Terrain costs.
  • Ox (Cattle): +3 Happiness. +1 Production from Farms and Plantations.
    Promotion Serenity of the Ox: unit heals additional 5 HP per turn, even if it performs an action.
  • Buffalo (Bison): +2 Production, +10% Production. City gains 3 Defense and 25 HP.
    Promotion Sturdiness of the Buffalo: +25% Combat Strength when defending.
  • Ram (Sheep): +2 Culture, +10% Culture. +1 Food from Hills.
    Promotion Belligerence of the Ram: +33% Combat Strength VS Cities.
  • Deer: +1 Food from Forest and Snow tiles. +1 Culture from Camps.
    Promotion Elusiveness of the Deer: 20% probability of withdrawing a melee attack, ignores Zone of Control.
  • Elephant (Ivory): +10% Great People generation empire-wide. +1 Culture from Ivory.
    Promotion Majesty of the Elephant: -10% Combat Strength to adjacent enemies.
  • Wolf (Fur): Tile improvement construction speed increased by 10%. +1 Culture from Fur.
    Promotion Solidarity of the Wolf: flank attack bonus increased by 30%, double movement in Jungles and Forests.
  • Boar (Truffles): Unit Gold maintenance reduced by 5% (max 20% empire-wide). +1 Culture from Truffles.
    Promotion Fury of the Boar: +30% Combat Strength versus Wounded Units, yields Golden Age points from kills.

UU1: Meddiss Toutiks (Great General)
In addition to the usual Great General abilities, when an improvement is built or an enemy is killed within 2 tiles of the unit, the Meddiss Toutiks accumulates Production that can be used to hurry construction of Units, Buildings, and Projects in an adjacent City.

UU2: Legio Linteata (Spearman)
Can be purchased with Faith, can build Pastures and Camps, and it is slightly stronger than the Spearman it replaces. It possesses the unique promotion Devotio ad Martem: double movement on Hills, +20% Combat Strength in Rough Terrain, and further +20% Combat Strength in owned lands. Upgrades to Longswordsman.

I made some checks and I think the problem is incompatibility with mods who uses " Sukritact_SaveUtils.lua " like the Chinooks. SaveUtils is a tool to store data for when u close a game and have them there when you reload a save game. The Sukritact's version is a modified version of the original Whys' one I am using and apparently they don't like each other.
A solution is to go to the mod folder C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS , search all the files "Sukritact_SaveUtils.lua", open them then delete all their content and replace it with the content of the SaveUtils.lua you can find in MODS\Jarcast's The Samnites (v 4)\Lua\Utilities . That worked for me.

From trial and error, I found the conflict in my case was with Sukitract's Chinookian civ. Maybe something to do with the added resources. The only other mods I had active were vox populi and the samnites (duh) and really advanced setup to ensure the Chinook were in the game. Let me know if you still need the lua.log to replicate. Thanks for the great mod!

It's for sure a conflict with another mod. With VP enabled plus modmods like Community events, Enlightenment era for VP, More Wonders for VP, Enhanced naval warfare it works normally without issues.
Can u make a post here [forums.civfanatics.com] attaching the lua.log of your game? So I can give a look at your issues and try to replicate it.
