Description
this build is baised on my interpretation of the starcom battle crane toy from the 1980's

this version is fully flyable and you can load and unload the cargo pods this is still a work in progress
the rear cockpit/cargomaster seat is also flayable as well as the controls have been maped out magnalock/cargo lock and unlock the gears are on pistons and will lift up and the gears are also set up to lock on via the control bar. the cargo pods have pistons as well and will lock on and unlock just like with the toy except this model carrys two cargo pods as i said this is my interpretation of the battle crane toy

* 11/19/18* Added Buttons on the legs for gears to lift up and to trun on and off the magnalock/cargo lock and unlock under eatch wing and buttons to lift up and lower under the belly of the crane

Thank you for your interest and i look forward to your coments and suggestions

So it did air here then! Guess I must've just not been aware of it at the time. First I ever knew of it was the toys. Didn't even realise it was a cartoon til later in life when I started remembering things.
Yeah, they're a total collectors item now. Same with a lot of the stuff I grew up with. If I had disposable money I'd be tempted to collect some of it myself just for the nostalgia of it!
My fondest memory of StarCom was actually the Battle Crane. It was the first one I got & I remember being kind of annoyed that the cockpit wasn't big enough to close with the little bloke inside - that he had to sit with his top half out in the open.

When I built this I was thinking it looked a bit like the Battle Crane.

Wow! I thought I was the only person alive who remembers StarCom!
I don't remember the TV series ever airing here in the UK - at least I never heard about it if it did - but I had a lot of the toys... the smaller ones at least, including the Battle Crane (the "big ones" were like £60 each back then & for expensive presents I only ever asked for Lego Technic!).
My best friend at the time had the Starmax Bomber because his dad was well paid... but his mum almost never let him play with any of his toys in case he broke them! They were mostly for her to show off to her friends with, kind of a "look how much my husband earns" thing. She was a pretty woman but a wholesale b!tch. Letched over all the male teachers like a prozzie! All the mums hated her! Hehe!
Ahh though, the memories!
Would love to see more StarCom stuff if you feel like it. Might even get round to doing some of my own one day.
