If the mod was removed by steam following a DMCA strike then there must have been ripped content in it. You can't have retextured objects inside your mod. Every legal NF re-texture mod doesn't include any models from NF in their files - it's illegal to reupload or modify any files from any mod to your own, even if you only want to change the texture.
The proper way to do it is again - connecting it as a dependency and using hiddenselections to put a new texture on a model.

The mod doesn't have any of the original assets from Northern Fronts, it's only the retextured objects and their configs. I don't think this was automatic because the mod has been up for some time and I didn't update anything recently. Not trying to be antagonistic or anything btw just want to make it clear that I would take down the mod if anyone from the NF team had an issue.

Probably because there were Northern Fronts files inside your mod and anti-ripping software spotted that you have re-uploaded Northern Fronts files. Re-textures are perfectly fine but to do that you don't have to rip any of NF assets into your own mod, you can do it via dependency and that's how the other mods were not taken down.

Lol stolen? It's a retexture and I never claimed ownership of any assets. There are retextures of this very mod that have been on the workshop literally for years and nobody filed any complaints on those. Why is it suddenly an issue now and only for my mod?
Sokolonko  [author] May 10 @ 4:00am
I'm not saying we did it but since you're asking here it seems like you must have stolen some assets from Northern Fronts?

Did you guys file a DMCA on the german empire retexture mod? You could have just asked me to take it down

just wondering will there be more variants for the m/36 asetakki to have rolled sleeves or an open collar?

Thanks for the reply, and no rush lads. I'd rather see compatibility done right 10 years from now than see it done like crap sooner.
E_50_Panzer Apr 18 @ 10:17am
I can send you the relevant config parts if you need it

I understand that there is compatibility, but I would like to see your implementation, with normal textures and elaboration and variations of form, if this is not planned in fashion at all and is not worth waiting for, then just say so
