Era - 1990s - UFC (in a way)

UFC 15: Collision Course took place on October 17, 1997. It was a solid card featuring top names and future top names, including Randy Couture, Vitor Belfort, Tank Abbott, Maurice Smith and Mark Kerr. And yet, the most enduring moment from the entire event was a quick shot of the crowd, showing a crazed shirtless fan with a parody of the Nike slogan "Just Do It" painted on his torso, but as "Just Bleed," complete with a Nike swoosh logo. The man flexed and released an animalistic shout into the arena as the camera fixated on him, and then it was back to the Octagon.

And yet, for years afterwards, James Ladner stretched Andy Warhol's theory of fifteen minutes of fame into more than two decades of noteriety as the personification of barbaric, merciless fans looking for their fix of violence.
