AIOT: All In One Tool

Description
All in one tool to increase your pawns' work speed! Comes in two varieties: Steel for 10% boost, plasteel for 25%.

Requires the base material, plus one component (after all, the tool has to be able to switch jobs, right?). Learned through AIOT research, crafted at the smithy. Must be equipped as a weapon (which at the moment means it can't be used by pawns incapable of violent, or anyone using a gun). Consider it a sci-fi mix between a Swiss army knife and a sonic screwdriver. Higher quality versions even come with engravings!

This is my first relatively original mod, so any feedback is greatly appreciated! The textures are just placeholders until I can get something better, so please don't judge the mod based on those. >.>

As usual, many thanks to the RimWorld Discord modding peoples for their help in ironing out the wrinkles! You guys rock. <3

- Added stats of both, as requested! Looks are not final, so those won't be posted yet.

- Jul. 10 update: Changed to keep AIOTs from being equipped by raiders (and possibly friendly NPCs). They *should* now only be obtainable through crafting. As usual, please let me know if you have questions or issues!

- Jul. 12 update: Had to nudge the code a bit to get rid of some errors that cropped up after the last update to RimWorld itself.

- Aug. 13 update: Changed from 1.0 to .19

It shouldn't cause any conflicts -- it doesn't modify anything that exists already, just adds a couple of simple things!

I wonder how this interacts with the simple sidearms mod.

You should definitely add more varieties, even if it's not logical, i feel like it still needs to be added

I'm actually completely okay with the choice. I really like that. Giving this a try today on a fresh run. I tend to like to build armorys anyway! So this will give me an excuse to earlier, if i want that efficiency.

I figured having it as a wepon, it'd keep it a little more balanced; this way, you have to choose between a ranged weapon or a work speed boost, instead of just giving it to *everyone* in your colony. Not being able to give it to a non-violent pawn is an unfortunate side effect that I'm not sure how to work around.

As for the materials -- the steel / plasteel was an intentional choice as well. It's not just a stick you use, it's an actual device that changes modes depending on the job it's performing, hence using a component with it. Stone is just too... 'lumpy' for that sort of thing. Realistically, it'd be very difficult to work it to such a fine point, and even then, it'd probably break easy.

I'd considered stages, with each being stronger -- wood / stone / steel / plasteel, but the wood and stone just didn't seem logical to me.

I definitely appreciate the feedback, though, thank you!

I like the Idea of it although if you want to make it where it can be worn as clothing and give it the stat of still boosting the work speed by x% depending on the material. Also later on make sure to add more materials like for example all stone materials would help less than plasteel but would have a significant boost on mining. Stuff like that just think about it :D

Looks cool, but maybe add a screenshot or 2 about the looks and stats
