For me, the problem wasn't that these ran, per se. Rather, it was that I had to press a button and then wait for even more loading. That's just dumb.

For all the people, who have to (or want to) use the temporary_launcher_workaround branch: The mod only needs to be activated once in the launcher in the main branch (don't know if you have to start the game afterwards as well). Afterwards you can switch back to the workaround branch and it should load fine.

Simple steps, because tl;dr:
1. Switch to the main Steam branch (if you're not on it already).
2. Start into the game launcher.
3. Activate the mods (make sure to have the correct load order -> mod framework first).
4. Start the game (don't know if that's necessary).
5. Now you can switch back to the temporary_launcher_workaround and the mods should now load fine.
6. Enjoy slaying.

For some reason it doesn't work (maybe it's because I'm on Linux and have to use the "temporary_launcher_workaround" branch)
