Managed to time it just right so I threw the cube from in front of the killfence to a pre-laid funnel, and jumped across it just as the cube blocked the laser for a split-second... and now I see in josepezdj's video that that was inecessary as I didn't think of blocking it against the ceiling. Oh well. At least I figured out a reliable method of getting a portal over the disabled emancipation grill once the cube was blue, rather than spamming the portal gun until the cube hits the button.

Seeing the second room in his video that you have removed though... I think I would've been happier if it had been left in. Was his method of getting the cube in there not reliable enough?

Thanks for the reply. For me taking the blue cube along was OK in the hammer/previous workshop versions though, the only pain I found was when you had to drop it for a while to shoot the funnel. Coupled with the tight timer it meant that if you did not catch the cube with the funnel at first try (which was a bit random) you did not had the time to catch it and put it in manually. Perhaps something to hold the blue cube for a second, like a glass box with a tight window, or another funnel which you can't put a portal on, coupled with a slightly more generous timer?

ah well, anyway, I can always replay the hammer version :), it's just that I slightly preferred the first part on this version.

I wanted to think of a way to transfer the blue cube to the second part. But the methods that were invented strongly depended on random moving of the cube. Maybe I will found good way.

Hey Chander, been replaying some of your maps recently. I still love this puzzle but I was wondering if you could make the earlier version available on the workshop. I did like the second room (not sure why it was removed) and as said before not sure why other changes were made. The version played by Josepedz seems fine, in fact (though it is usually the reverse) I find it slightly superior to the version on thinkingwithportals (the execution is less random).

This is a great puzzle, no doubt, I loved it. Many other puzzles use a painted cube but as far as I know this one is the only one where you have to bring it along for the whole trip while still being painted

But looking at the older version in josepesdj solution, I wonder why the changes. The trip back to get another cube does not really add to the puzzle solving, it is just repeating the same stuff. And changing the grate to glass panel in the last room means you have to rely on sheer patience instead of having to figure out an additional move. In fact, this is why I was checking the intended solution to see if I had missed something there, meaning it did not feel quite right..

I solved this map a while back. This is my solution , in the case someone gets stuck ;)

I am stuck. I am at the last room with the exit. I brought a cube with me and it seems like I should put it in a tube and try to move it with a funnel . But there seems to be a portal surface missing in the first turn. Also I have yet to figure out how to get the funnel there. .

The map is a bit hard, but I like it so far.
