Description

Marauders are ex-ADVENT that didn't quite go through the Skirmisher process fully intact, and they're willing to take it out on a lot of people. As in they fight everybody. As in they target Lost, Aliens, XCOM, Resistance, whatever.

They are made up of randomized squads that start at a three man size, that appear when the Marauder Incursion SITREP appears on a mission. Their squad composition can consist of:

Cleansers - ex-Purifiers who have modified their weapons to have an standard shot option in addition to the standard flamethrower, along with their standard firebomb component. They later learn Salvo and Shredder.

Guardians - ex-Priests who have gotten swole enough to carry cannons and their salvaged psi-amps, they start off with their traditional Stasis. They later acquire Solace and Holy Warrior.

Marauders - these are ex-ADVENT that managed to make it to Skirmisher training before they ultimately fell to their rage. They have the standard starting Skirmisher kit and total combat. They later learn Reflex, Return Fire, Whiplash, and Lightning Reflexes.

FAQ
The game froze when it went to the Marauders turn!
You didn't have the highlander installed. Please install it.

The MacOS/Linux highlander isn't updated to work with this mod yet.
The latest highlander should now work for all platforms.

The mission ended when there were still some of these enemies left?
Unfortunately the nature of how XCOM's backend works means I would need to replace every single mission kismet in order to make them properly count as enemies for the game to track when it comes to mission completion. For now you can assume enemies just retreat once XCOM has eliminated all threats and is able to start focusing on them.

What is the difference between raiding faction and sit rep? it looks like i cann download 2 seperate mods but they seem to inject the same units? thank you

How can I make it so that only male characters spawns? Want to use this with Raider Uniform Manager where I have some "Male-only" cosmetics, ruins the immersion when female skirmisher appear.

Found a fun bug: If you have the Feedback global perk and run into the solace aura of the psionic marauders it gives them 2 counts of Feedback, which can be 8 damage and flat out kill them. And if you've diving them with a Ranger to sword slice them, it refunds your AP while you're standing on their dead body, so you can chain them to death like this. Very fun, even when they blow up in your face.

Just to inform people, "Raider Faction" mods are not working correctly with LWOTC. It doesn't crash the game and faction enemies are spawning well, BUT they can't do anything. Game just doesn't allow them to take a turn (only XCOM, Aliens and Lost can), so they will just stay on the same spot and do nothing.

Honestly just making these show up in missions that are only about killing would solve a lot of head aches, the killing VIP's thing is a dealbreaker.

Can add restriction on sitrep so it wont spawn when mission has VIP??

Marauders just kill the VIP as VIP before rescued is counted as alien forces. The mission thus failed.
