RefineryStoneUpgrade

Description
Upgrade Module for refinery. Extract enclosed ore from stone and optional vaporize gravel

Are you tired of throwing away tons of tons of stone, even though you know exactly how much valuable resources are left in it.

Then Space Equipment Limited has the solution for you.
This upgrade module for your refinery would extract all resources from your collected stone.
And even more, optional the module could vaporize the resulting gravel, so no more ejectors throwing endless loops of stone/gravel into space. Leaving dangerous floating objects for your ships (and slowing down the game).

This module won't solve all your resource problems, but in critical situations it could make the difference between success or dead.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If and how many ore the module could extract from stone increases with the count of attached modules to your refinery.
The 'natural' amount of ore per amount of stone could be changed by an settings file.

Follwing defaults are defined

or per World:

Per world setting allways superseed, PC settings.

Mod supports also some Small Ship Modpacks that includes a vanilla like Refinery
e.g. Small Ship Vanilla Mod Pack
(May work also with other small ship mods, depending how they work)

And rember, if you don't like the mod just don't use it, everybody else enjoy it :-)

Does not work consistently.

Seems to work for a while, but then just stops producing.

@Dummy08 Any chance you made/could make another version to refine gravel into ores? Gravel is just smashed up stone with more surface area.

Does the effects of the module stack if more than one are attached to a single refinery?

I confirm it works. Takes some time to do some math but it eventually kicks in. Approx 1min

I am not sure this still works? I get lot's of gravel even with vaporize gravel activated.
Is this still confirmed as working?

So i tried using this and cannot find the upgrade module to add onto the refinery. Even with only this mod installed on a clean install.

@Kaiechi You can already use this mod are vaporizer only. You only have to to change the settings of the mod config file. Either the Global one (all Worlds on the PC/Server)
"C:\Users\#username#\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Storage\1327040622.sbm_RefineryStoneUpgradeModule\ModSettings.xml"
or per World
"C:\Users\#username#\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves\XXXXX\YourWordl\Storage\1327040622.sbm_RefineryStoneUpgradeModule\ModSettings.xml"

The global file is automaticly created and should exist after you started a world containing the mod. You could use this a templated if you like to make settings per world.
If you remove all the:
<OreDistribution>
<OreId Type="MyObjectBuilder_Ore" Subtype="XXXX" />
<Percent>Y</Percent>
</OreDistribution>
from the file the mod will only work as vaporiser.
Hope this helps

Is there any chance you could make a mod that just adds the vaporise gravel option to all refineries?
I've been looking for a way for people to get rid of gravel without just ejecting it all and the option this adds would be perfect as a stand alone addition :)

I notice this same thing before when trying to test the best configuration of Stone Upgrades and Yield Modules, and I noticed 1 Stone Upgrade and 6 Yield was the best results on Average with Industrial Sized Refineries and Vanilla ones as well I think. I'm not sure the direct values, maybe you could give me some insight Dummy08? I use the Hyper Refinery Upgrade Yield Modules from Meow's More Modules where I think iirc it caps at ~180% Yield Per Module Installed. I don't use vanilla modules at all anymore except right at the start of the game. Could you give me some insight as to the best Module Setup for yield? Would it be 1xStoneUpgrade and Max Yield? Maybe you could give me some insight on both with Vanilla and Meow's Yield Modules. Might be a good idea to also put the relative answer in the Mod Description for others and new mod installers to know the relative optimal setup. Cheers m8!

@arkavianx There was a capping of the maximum amout of stone that could be processed in one timeslice. The advanced refinery was far of the value, so the amout of additional ore was cut of.
I've changed this now and so your advanced refinery should produce more special ore than before. But carefull, what ore and how many ore types per timeslice are dropped is randomized, so you can't compare the values directly.
