NotSoRocky European Map Theme

Description
European version of my NotSoRocky Hills temperate Map Theme.

I always lacked good looking, realistic theme with less rocky cliffs. Aftere releasing the original NotSoRocky theme I thought european version would be nice to have. I didn't just want exactly the same theme so I changed a few textures. I hope you like this variation. If not, feel free to use Theme Mixer mod to mix textures from the temerate version or other themes.

Screenshots above were taken on my new european map I will be releasing soon.

Overview

NotSoRocky European Map Theme is... uhm... yes, you guessed it! It is european based map theme. I used a few custom, new textures with various levels of transparency to achieve effect I like.

The texture I focused most is of course cliff texture. It took me a couple hours to find good base images on the internet and create good looking, high resolution, seamless cliff texture with transparency which gave alpha blending that satisfied me. Thanks to this, mountain slopes are no more fully covered with rocky cliffs. Actual rock starts on steeper slopes, much higher than in default themes.

A few other textures has been changed and adjusted to achieve natural look. Some of you might find overlay of resources too bright or too dark, but I personally like more contrast and I just think it looks good. Feel free to test it and give feedback. I see no problems updating this theme as long as it remains satisfying to me.

Visual recommendations

I suggest using Daylight Classic mod by Bloody Penguin. It gives much more natural look to the game and I think most LUT and theme creators suggest using it. The theme is fully playable without it, but in my opinion it does not look as good as with this mod.

The other option is to use Relight mod which gives you more possibilities to tweak lighting ingame and comes with a pack of nice looking LUTs.

And finally, Ultimate Eyecandy mod for even more options to adjust visuals to whatever you like.

As for color correction LUT, you are free to go with whatever you like. A couple suggestions to check out are Definite Vision LUT by Captain Soap, Satellite by creativeDEX,
Overcast Natural by Catch22 and Clarity.

Could you please tell me how did you manage to change the "fertile" texture? the in-game theme editor doesn't provide the option to change that texture, I was wondering how did you manage to change it since I was trying to develop my own theme u.u

Great map theme, except for the sky raycasting set to 1.67 instead of 1 which makes the sky look orange. But that can be fixed with Theme mixer 2 :)

Now I have a problem: I can use this Theme in the map editor. Now my map is already done, but when I try to play it, it's the standard theme. And I can't choose the "Not so Rocky"-Theme as personal theme. I've already tried to unfollow, restart the game, follow again, activate and restart the game again. But it didn't help

Try to turn off the first 4 checks in the Options of the Mod "Daylight Classic". I think that'll help

Any clues why it is outrageously dark for me?
No Color correction override applied or European selected, it looks like early evening and I'm in the map editor with midday set...

Hello and thanks for great mod!I have just little problem.I can't load this theme to my maps.It does not show in theme selection tab.I have enabled it in content menu but when I try to choose it to map it just don't show up.
