Introduction
Welcome to my guide. I created this because a lot of people play keyboard only, and they make turns really bad and can't drive well. I drive with a mouse and its so much better, in my opinion, to keyboard-only or Xbox 360's gamepad.
Hope you like it.
Mouse
So the first thing is using mouse steering. Is so much better than keyboard steering and gamepad steering.
The only thing you need to enable is mouse steering, and configure RMB to control the camera (sou when you hold RMB you can control the camera).
Thats it for mouse.
Keyboard
So, you already using mouse steering, and what makes mouse steering great is a good keyboard configuration. You will play with your right hand on your mouse, and your left hand in your keyboard.
W = accelerate;
S = brakes/reverse;
Q = left turn indicator;
E = right turn indicator;
1-9 = cameras;
C = cruiser control;
I don't recommend it, but if you are manual:
A = gear down.
D = gear up;
Thats the essential. Now, the rest is up to you, you can use the remaning keys or use the numpad buttons (like me):
numpad0 = turn on/off the truck;
numpad1-3 = horns;
numpad4-6 = lights (being numpad6 hazard warning);
arrom keys up/down = change radio station;
arrom keys left/right = decrease and increase cruiser control;

Notes
So thats how I play truck sims. Hope this guide help you deciding how to configure your keys.
Thanks for reading.
Also, leave comments below about how you play the game, must be helpful.

@American Gamer: Hi. ETS2's default mouse steering settings are way too sensitive. In the same panel where you select Keyboard + Mouse Steering, I suggest setting Steering Sensitivity to about 5% and Steering Non-Linearity to about 50%. Low sensitivity means small/slow mouse movements make for very accurate steering corrections, while high non-linearity amplifies larger/faster mouse movements to turn the steering wheel quickly whenever needed. You can even "twitch" the steering side to side to swerve accurately, just like REAL truckers do.

I tried using the mouse for fun and I stopped and went back to keyboard steering. When I moved the mouse to the left the wheel jerked to the left, and when I moved to the right to avoid collision the wheel jerked to the right and crashed into a wall. I'm just going to stick with W,S,A,D to steer. I'm not saying using the mouse is a bad thing. I hope this doesn't offend anyone. Thank you for understanding and keep trucking. :steerme:

Thats nice. If you mouse does support MOUSE4 and MOUSE5 you can bind it too - as I do.

You can use the mouse wheel to gear up or down. (You can bind to this "key" in many games)

I use the left and right buttons on the mouse for the indicators. X to increase cruise control and V to decrease cruise control.
