On the 20 November, 2017 episode of Raw, Paige made her return alongside the debuting Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville as they attacked Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Mickie James, as well as Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, thus establishing herself as a heel in the process. A week later, the trio announced that they had named their group Absolution. The following week on Raw, Paige made her in-ring return on the 5 December episode of Raw, defeating Sasha Banks. Later in the night, the group attacked Alicia Fox. On the 1 January episode of Raw, Paige and her stable Absolution declared to enter the first ever 2018 Royal Rumble match for women.

At a house show on December 27, Paige suffered another injury after taking a kick from Sasha Banks in a six-woman tag team match, thus forcing the referee to stop the match. It was later revealed that she had suffered an impact injury to the neck, thus ruling her out from the Royal Rumble and possibly forcing her to retire from in-ring competition. She returned on-screen starting with the February 5, 2018 episode of Raw, supporting her fellow Absolution members in their matches; she has yet to return to in-ring competition.
