Smart Crafters

Description
SmartCrafters replaces (remaps) several of Ark's Vanilla crafting structures with similar, configurable ones.
This mod is clean but not entirely stackable. If you use other mods that add engrams to vanilla structures, in order for those engrams to appear in SmartCrafters structures, you will need to put SmartCrafters first in mod load order.

If you are applying SmartCrafters mod on a previous save, all the structures that were previously placed will be replaced automatically with SmartCrafters structures, but you will need to learn the engrams again.
If you remove SmartCrafters mod, all SmartCrafters structures will be automatically replaced with their Vanilla versions.

All configurations must be placed in GameUserSettings.ini file - details here.

The structures remapped by this mod are:

Smithy
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
Refining Forge
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
Mortar and Pestle
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
Preserving Bin
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
  • Configurable spoil multipliers
Feeding Trough
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable range
  • Configurable spoil multipliers
Refrigerator
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable spoil multipliers
  • Configurable to allow storing anything (applying same spoil multiplier as for regular consumables)
Fabricator
  • Runs on either electricity or Gasoline (does not require Gasoline if electricity is available)
  • Is silent by default, but can be configured to use the Vanilla sounds
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
  • Configurable spoil multiplier for resources.
Industrial Grill
  • Runs on either electricity or Gasoline (does not require Gasoline if electricity is available)
  • Is silent by default, but can be configured to use the Vanilla sounds
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
  • Configurable spoil multipliers
Industrial Grinder
  • Runs on either electricity or Gasoline (does not require Gasoline if electricity is available)
  • Is silent by default, but can be configured to use the Vanilla sounds
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
Industrial Forge
  • Runs on either electricity or Gasoline (does not require Gasoline if electricity is available)
  • Is silent by default, but can be configured to use the Vanilla sounds
  • Configurable inventory size

Industrial Cooker
  • Runs on either electricity or Gasoline (does not require Gasoline if electricity is available)
  • Is silent by default, but can be configured to use the Vanilla sounds
  • Does not require snapping to pipes
  • Is irrigated without a water source
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
  • Configurable spoil multipliers
Chemistry Bench
  • Requires only electricity to run
  • Is silent by default, but can be configured to use the Vanilla sounds
  • Configurable inventory size
  • Configurable crafting speed
  • Configurable spoil multipliers

What I like most about the mod is that the structures are not automatically locked like with all others. I like it on PVP when you can look inside without destroying it.

If the mod ever gets an update, a few things would be very cool.

Please use the Tek structures. As well as all storage options to adjust the number of slots.

Beer barrel, tek feed trough and compost would be nice too.

As well as all blueprints for the craftable objects in the inventory of the structures so that you don't always have to search for everything.

Okay yeah, the green radius indicator of the feeding through is extremely obnoxious, disabling only temporarily disables it until you leave render distance and come back.

This mod looks amazing! All I want is to simply run all industrial structures on electricity, nothing more, nothing less. I will give it a try on my server cluster.

I agree with @Gelunox if the visible range on the trough didn't pop back up every time you leave and return to the area it wouldn't be quite so bad, but it is particularly pesky turning it off all the time. Everything else in the mod is amazing though!

Interestingly I can't craft scuba in the fabricator. Otherwise it's an amazing mod!

@ZFG Thanks for the response, no ETA needed, I'm just happy you'd take my suggestion into consideration. It's a great mod as it is, literally almost perfect exactly what I wanted bar the campfire. It's completely understandable and take as long as you need. Thanks!

@Grantykinss thanks for writing, might be a while until we add new features since we are not playing ark atm, but we still try to look at comments and make sure our mods still work. That being said the game never broke our mods so there was no need to update them that often. I will add the campfire on the TODO list but as i said, it might take some time, no ETA.
