I like this idea, I could also add a bonus to riders with bonded animals so there's an actual advantage. The only thing that I don't like about it is that just riding the animal to get a bond can encourage boring player behaviour, since players could just keep ordering a pawn to go to the other side of the map all the time, so they bond with the animal. I could give a chance of bonding after the player did actually do useful things with the animal. For instance killing an enemy pawn, or completing a world map "quest" (like completing a trade offer). However, I have a lot of other things that have my priorities first. So it might take some time untill you see something like this, if at all.
Mainly, if the rider has been riding the animal for like, say a few days, then they should automatically bond, or something like that.
- Fixed issue involving animals with riders teleporting after catching fire. (This only happened for animals controlled by the player).
Update notes:
GiddyUpCore updated to v18.5.6
- Giddy-up! now supports the Animal Range Attack mod. This means that if you install that mod, animals with riders on them that have ranged attacks, will use them on the target of the rider.
- Animals with riders on them will now also attack enemy buildings and animals their rider is attacking.
@GKFreshD
The problems that you reported should be fixed now (at least for newly formed caravans).
- fixed caravanRider not being saved properly.
