Changing either planet size or coverage breaks factions spawning on the map.
Once again, I have no idea if it is this mod or not, but this comments page came up immediately after searching this issue.
If you count density per tile count, it would be the same. It is just visualy stretches tile size, so world still looks big. But it is really, really tiny.
Looks like it cause problem with factions settelments even on 100% coverage. I enabled 14 factions with settelments. Have half-size planet and Density on Max. This resulted in spawning ony about 1-3 settelments per faction and most of map empty.
While on 100% map size and Density on Max density it spawn settelment like every 20 tiles.
Niilo's QoL has a setting to generate more rivers
