I really wanted to use his much cooler nickname, "The Grappler King from the Shadows," but it was too long. Daiju Takase is another of those MMA oddities--a skilled grappler, eclectic personality and veteran of Pancrase, Pride and the UFC alike--who lost the majority of his fights except the ones where he beat Carlos Newton and friggin' Anderson Silva. It's hard to say a fighter never lived up to their potential when "submitted Anderson Silva" is on their resume.
