Universal Name Pack: Hybrid Unromanized

This package needs higher priority than other map-related packages.

If you are using Poland Rebuilding, activate the compatibility add-on with higher priority.

If you are using the ProMods Trailer & Company Pack, activate the compatibility add-on with even higher priority.

This package rewrites toponyms (place names) across maps so as to ensure that they are correct, consistent and conform to the convention of using endonyms (native place names) in their respective native scripts, with multiple official language forms separated by slashes, and with romanizations in parentheses where applicable, as long names (used e.g. on the map). Abbreviations are avoided. Romanizations are BGN/PCGN if available. This package variant uses single unromanized endonyms as short names (used e.g. in the job lists and the route adviser). Terminal names are treated like short names.

This package also rewrites company and cargo definitions so as to ensure that company names are correct, consistent and displayed in their native languages and scripts, and that cargo names are correct, consistent and in English. Additional translation mods will clash and neither need nor should be used.

This package also rewrites country definitions so as to ensure that country names, time zones and other data are correct, consistent and conform to the above conventions, with multiple official language forms separated by slashes and with romanizations in parentheses where applicable. Since fuel prices are set in the country definitions, this package also by necessity updates them. Prices were last checked in August 2018. Additional fuel price mods will clash and neither need nor should be used.

Example: With this package, the capital of Adygea in Russia is displayed on the map as Майкоп (Maykop)/Мыекъуапэ (Myeqw’apä) and in the job lists and the route adviser as Майкоп.

The mod currently includes versions compatible with game versions 1.27.x/1.28.x, 1.30.x and 1.31.x.

*Due to conflicts with other maps, avoid visiting the truck dealers in Zagreb (all versions), Niš (1.31.x) and Sofia (1.31.x) when using YKS Team EU Turkey Map.
**Due to conflicts with other maps, some cargo and company names cannot be treated correctly in SibirMap.

Because of missing ranges in the UI font, the Romanian S and T with comma below are written with cedillas, the Azeri inverted E is written as A with umlaut, and Kazakh endonyms are written in the revised Kazakh Roman alphabet announced in 2018 rather than in the Kazakh Cyrillic alphabet; G with accent is however also missing and the accent is thus dropped. Arabic is missing entirely and is thus always romanized; H with cedilla is however also missing and the cedilla is thus dropped.
