Scania 4 series Drivetrain Revision

ATTENTION!!!
Configure your trucks carefully! If you first select an engine from my mod, pair it with a transmission from the mod, and then switch the engine to one of the default ones (from the RJL mod) the game will crash! Im working on a fix, but as of right now, you just need to be careful, and filter engines and transmissions!





This is an addon for Galimims Scania Drivetrain revision mod - adds realistic engines and gearboxes to RJL Scania R 4 series, as well as (WIP) Scania T 4 series, and P 4 series addon by Sogard. Each gearbox is realistically paired with an engine, with attention to the rear end ratio (some engines commonly use certain ratios). All engines have realistic torque curves built based on data found on scania's website, as well as realistic volume and peak torque numbers.

The mod contains following engines:
DC9 230hp
DC9 260hp
DC9 300hp
DC11 340hp
DC11 380hp
DC12 420hp
DC12 420hp(HPI)
DT12 440hp
DT12 470hp
DC16 480hp
DC16 580hp

Theoretically an addition of older DSC series engines is possible, as there are peak torque numbers available, however there are no torque/rpm curves, so whether it does or does not make sense is up for debate.

The mod contains gearboxes with realistic gear and rear end ratios as well. The gearboxes contained in the mod are as follows:

GR801 - Direct drive 8 gears range change gearbox
GR900 - Direct drive 8+1 gears range change gearbox
GR890 - Direct drive 12 gears range splitter gearbox
GRS900 - Direct drive 12+2 gears range splitter gearbox
GRSO900 - Overdrive 12+2 gears range splitter gearbox
GRS920 - Direct drive 12+2 gears range splitter gearbox

And of course each gearbox has its equivalent with a retarder.

Following gearbox pairings are allowed:
GR801 - All DC9 engines
GR900 - From DC11 380hp to DT12 470hp
GRS890 - From DC9 260hp to DC11 380hp
GRS900 - From DC11 380hp to DC16 480HP
GRSO900- From DC11 380hp to DC16 480HP
GRS920 - Exclusively for DC16 580hp

Not all rear end ratios are available for each engine+gearbox pairing - it was purposefully made so, as to show common real world pairings of those gearboxes

To install the layouts, download the files, and go to MyDocuments/EuroTruckSimulator2/profiles or /steam profiles, depending on whether you do use steam cloud or not. Then find the profile you want to use the layouts on (the best way is log into the game, exit, and then see which one was modyfied most recently). After that, just drop the files there, and they should appear in the controllers settings.

- Add engines and transmissions for Scania P4 and T4
- Change costs of the transmissions and engines to balance the game better
- Tweak automatic transmission settings
- Add realistic pairings to quick jobs (right now its just compatible)
