Lethe: Lost Technologies of the United Colonial Federation

Description
MedPod adds advanced regenerative medical beds capable of treating virtually every injury and disease, inspired by similar beds from Neill Blomkamp's 2013 sci-fi film Elysium.

  • Pawns automatically use MedPods to treat injuries, missing body parts and diseases
  • Doctors/Wardens will rescue downed or transfer bedridden colonists/prisoners to MedPods
  • MedPods ignore prosthetics and bionics
  • MedPods only require electricity - no medicine or consumables required
  • Five models available:
    • MedPod - Standard model
    • MedPod Lux - Royalty DLC-only variant with faster operation but higher power consumption; stuffable
    • VetPod - For pets and other small domesticated animals
    • VetPod Large - For livestock and smaller animals
    • VetPod Mega - For megafauna, livestock and smaller animals
  • HD Quality textures for Camera+

  • Complete the Accelerated Cellular Regeneration research project
  • Obtain an Isolinear Processor from Exotic Goods Traders (caravans and orbital) or Quest rewards
  • Build a MedPod using one Isolinear Processor, steel, plasteel, industrial and advanced components

  • Pawns prioritize MedPods over other medical bed types, by distance and type, before falling back to other beds
  • Pawns will not use unpowered MedPods
  • Pawns must have their medical care level set to Industrial-tech or Best quality medicines in order to use MedPods
  • Healthy pawns can consume alcohol and drugs without immediately needing to use MedPods; however, injured pawns will get these drug effects removed during treatment
  • Doctors will avoid feeding, tending or operating on patients currently using MedPods
  • MedPods consume varying amounts of power in idle, diagnosis and treatment modes; ensure that you have an adequate power supply
  • MedPods by design ignore Ideology memes and precepts like scarring and drug use; see the FAQ for details
  • MedPods can be restricted to colonists, slaves or prisoners
  • MedPods will heavily spike your colony wealth, and attract more raiders. You have been warned.

Reasonable enough I guess, I'll have to see sometime about seeing if I can get a compatibility patch made. Probably worth noting as an incompatibility in the meantime though.

@Shampooh - If that mod is remapping/rearranging body part hierarchy in a way that differs significantly from the vanilla game, then I don't think it's worth rewriting MedPod's internal logic to handle those particular edge cases.

Noticed some peculiarity about how it was restoring limbs (targeting only extremities while leaving most of the base implants alone, ie. restoring fingers but leaving the bionics at the shoulder) and did some further testing. Turns out the issue is coming from More Injuries , which does some remapping/addition of body parts and I suppose the MedPods aren't recognizing that those parts are meant to stay removed when bionics are installed to the parent body part.

@Shampooh - There seems to be a number of other startup errors between Quality Bionics Remastered and its dependency Elite Bionics Framework, so for all we know, the problem might actually be caused by those two mods rather than MedPod.

Please ask the authors of the respective mods to fix any outstanding issues on their end first.

My MedPod is regenerating organic limbs on a pawn with freshly installed bionics, I suspect because these bionics were made with quality while it hasn't removed them from another pawn that got them before I added the mod to my save.

@Silverhand - Correct, it is definitely animal body size. The cutoff points are:
- 0.875 for VetPod (standard)
- 2.5 for VetPod Large
- No limit for VetPod Mega

Note that larger VetPods can still treat animals far smaller than their cutoff points.

I haven't been able to find this yet. What controls the size of VetPod needed? Is it Body Size? And if so, what are the break points? Thanks!

hi ive been using this in my v1.2 savegame and its been great :)

now that im on v1.6 i was wondering, is it possible to have a type of medpod, that could work on mechanoids or androids in some way? (like a robot version), maybe like a "Tech Pod" or something :lunar2019piginablanket:
