What is Moonwalk?
Moonwalk (Dance Move)

The Moonwalk is a famous dance move in which the dancer appears to glide backward while actually walking forward in place. It creates an illusion of floating or defying gravity. Although similar moves existed earlier, the Moonwalk was popularized by Michael Jackson during his performance of "Billie Jean" on the television special Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever in 1983.

The move quickly became Jackson’s signature and is now one of the most iconic elements in pop culture and dance history. It requires precise footwork and control, typically sliding one foot backward while keeping the other flat and then alternating smoothly.
